taking to social media to show the conditions inside headquarters to try to get something done about it. but the state is now investigating a descrim nation complaint filed against the city of medford. the committee looking into what they call, quoted, an employment-related matter. but 7news has learned it's a police officer who's upset about what's happening inside here. we spoke with mayor stephanie burk before the discrimination complaint was filed. >> you upset? >> absolutely. i can see why they're upset. and we're addressing it. i think that -- rome wasn't concurred overnight, so we definitely need spend some time to make sure we do it right. >> reporter: but in a statement the union says, quote, we believe it is important for the citizenry to be aware of the conditions under which we work. these conditions have not just happened over the last few months. the conditions at the police department have been steadily deteriorating over the last decade or longer. the first medicinefield woman

early 1980s and today we still do not have a locker room for our female officers. burk says she's trying to get as much done as possible. >> this is a priority of ours. and we do not plan on shuffling -- it's not going to go under the rug. and just a little while ago, the mayor released a statement to us saying she could not comment on this discrimination complaint because it's being investigated by the state. in medford tonight, keli o'hara , a 7news. a sprinkler tank exploded in norwell sending it flying up and through the roof of a pool there, landed ie a car flips over and landed on top of the guardrail. police say good samaritans stopped and tried to pull the driver out but were unsuccessful. rescue crews worked for over an hour to free the man. he was transported to a local hospital and now recovering. police say a 70-year-old man and 17-year-old woman were crossing the street near city hall when they were hit. they suffered serious injuries.

person will face any charges. police are investigating a deadly accident at a work place it brockton. we're hearing from a woman who tried to help a teenager who died at a fight at a party. police say he was slammed headfirst into the concrete an older teen and was badly hurt. this happened friday. 18-year-old cheryl ward and others immediately took action getting the boy to the hospital. >> no one would move out of the way. i was screaming at kids, you need to move. this kid is going to die. i heard people yes take him, and people saying no, if we bring him, we're going to get in trouble records the boy died at the hospital after suffering traumatic brain injuries earlier this week 18-year-old zachrella pleaded not guilty to assault

earlier this week. >> you can see the rosh dressed in black. at first the clarifying thought it was a joke but realized the robber was the real thing. >> i laughed at him because like the halloween kind of thing. i thought like he's just trying to scare me but he said run to the register, give me all the money, whatever you guys in there. >> the man with the gun is 19-year-old homeless han recognized as a regular customer from another store. three people in connection with arrested. another clerk held at knife point at a gas station in a hobe bolt. two masked men robbed the store on winthrop street monday night and now the clerk is talking about those frightening moments. >> i looked up because i hear the door open and this guy in a black nylon mask, black hoody, you know, with a switch in his hands, looks at me and says don't move. he told me like he'd gut me if i looked up within the next 60 seconds. >> the clerk was not hurt and

run. people across the state are lining up to get on board with e-zpasss. the old toll boos continue to get taken down. this was the line in east boston around 40 people waiting to open an e-zpass account as the demolition of toafl booth plazas across the state does continue. the department of transportation says they're in some states of demolition and as of tuesday the d.o.t. says 85 of the 105 state toll booths are fully demolished. and we're following mor teacher saves a mom's life. her son took a hostage note to the class. >> and that's when police were able to rescue her, thank god. chris 22 delcamp reports now. >> at a middle school in louisiana it was a note an 11-year-old passed to a teacher that sent this man donald ray guy to jail. guy, who's been dodging deputies for quite some time, had been wanted by authorities. he was already facing domestic violence charges and accused of skipping court sedates. >> it was very concerning at first understanding that we

>> reporter: officials say that middle school student at school tuesday morning shared a note from mom saying she was in trouble. the note was apparently dated for last friday, quickly getting the sheriffs attention. >> there's always a chill that goes through you when you understand that maybe the child was going through some -- a very bad environment and the mother may be captive and may be worse than what we actually found. >> reporter: after talking to the 11-year-old and with some quick detective work, they narrowed it down. they knew the suspect was for running. the sheriff called in a tracking team and extra officers armed with a search warranty to the home. >> we found ray guy hiding in the closet. >> reporter: he's facing new charges including false imprisonment. deputies also found a stolen atv. the suspect will be facing a judge in two different cities including in baton rouge where official there is are armed and ready with a warrant waiting for him. in the newsroom, i'm christa delcamp, 7news. a student's body is found in georgia near his high school.

body this morning in the backyard of a home near the school. the school was placed in lock-down as a precaution. investigators say the teen was walking with a friend last night when the car pulled up and start shooting. investigators don't believe the victim was the intended target, no arrests have been made. a florida teacher faces criminal charges for allegedly exchanging more than 100,000 inappropriate messages with a 14-year-old female student. 44-year-old allison london was a p.e. teacher at the girls school. she is facing several charges including failure child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. caught on camera, a thief in new mexico vetting a robbery but the robber left his business card behind and he posted the necklace on facebook and also posted things about other crimes on facebook. >> if a guy walks inside of your business know he's not there to

>> the police department says the thief has three warrants for his arrest in other jurisdictions. a woman's odd rescue caught on camera. investigators say the woman crashed her car but when police arrived she ran from them and then jumped into the water. she spent close to 45 minutes in the frigid water before a tug boat helped pull her out. the woman was treated for hypothermia but otherwise okay and now expected to face criminal charges for fleeing from the police. an officer's body camera shows a woman struggling with an officer, and she was holding a mexico which police say involved a drunk driver. >> don't you touch me. do you understand me. >> reporter: police say this woman was holding her baby when the crash happened. she was still holding the baby when the officers got there. >> the child needs to be checked by medical. >> he's fine. >> you don't have a choice. >> reporter: the officer is able to take the baby but that's when the confrontation got worse. >> do not swing at me. we got it. >> i didn't swing at you. >> reporter: in the video you

daylight savings time coming to anthemed weekend. our 5:30 sunset's becoming 4:30. sunrise on saturday at 7:23. sun-up on sunday 6:24. temporarily anyways if you're an early riser you get some daylight back. but this time of the day right now it's dark. 4:15, 4:30 for the next several weeks. even though the days are short and you can still reek out of a mild day here or there, 60s and 70s, the city at norwood 71. worcester 65. the other thing they do about today is not a lot of wind. sometimes in november when you get the warm days you gotta have nice healthy southwesterly breeze and the breeze sometimes can kind of mask that made field to the air. nice out there with a mix of clouds and sunshine. hardly any wind, and it'll be mild for tonight and even through tomorrow morning. and then this weather system here, this will sweep out the great lakes states tonight and into new england tomorrow.

but just getting numbers back to where we should be this time of the year. mid-50s for highs. the numbers on friday and saturday will be closer to normal. but look it north, 64. 70s and 80s across the mid south. green bay at 26. and the cooler air on the move. for tonight a lot of clouds, temps between 50 and 55 through the day tomorrow. there will be some showers coming at us pied day and afternoon, so you won't need the rain gear for the morning commute but grab likelihood of showers arriving mid afternoon. here's your timeline on those raindrops. 7:00 tomorrow morning, again, fair amount of clouds, you'll go back and forth between the clouds and sunshine tomorrow morning. any outdoor activities tomorrow morning should be okay, rain free. then here comes the rain tomorrow afternoon. but still even at noon torch it's in western new england, works through the worcester hills, mid afternoon, 2:00, 3:00, into metro boston. probably at the start of the evening commute. evening commute might be a little bit dicey but it's not

the world series tonight. chicago forcing the deciding game last night by winning by 6 in cleveland. the cubs scored three runs in the first inning. shortstop hit a grand slam in the fourth to give chicago a comfortable lead. and then the cubs won easily 9-3. >> what it comes down to is we have -- i'm going to go out on a limb and say it's a really important game tomorrow, you know. and we'll be really excited group that breaks the string but you're problem right, it's just correct and apt that we would go seven games. >> if the cubs win tonight, they would only become the sixth team in history to come back from a 3-1 deficit to win the world series. good luck to both of them, i'd say. tonight's game starts just after 8:00. next here on 7news at 5:30, we'll take a look at the star-studded line-up for this year's macy's thanksgiving parade. >> wow, that time already.
