taken to falmouth hospital. again, those officers are being treated for exposure to narcotics. right now, there is no word on the condition of those officers or is suspect. we, of course, are going to continue to follow this unfoeing story and bring you the very latest as son as it becomes available. i'm sheryl fiandaca, 7 news. >> sarah: two former allies of chris christie have been convicted for their roles in bridge-gate. the two former staffers were found guilty o epic traffic jam at the george washington bridge on purpose for what prosecutors said was political revenge. the most serious charges carry up to 20 years in prison. governor chris christie has denied knowing anything about the scheme. >> christa: the presidential election four days away now. and both campaigns are putting a lot of focus on winning new hampshire. this is a live picture from atkinson there.

>> reporter: in new hampshire, donald trump is coming on. while hillary clinton is holding on. in a race that couldn't be closer. and our exclusive 7 news umass-lowell poll, they are tied. trump and clinton both get 44% among likely voters. gary johnson guess 5%. jill stein, two. compared to our poll last month, trump is up five points and clinton down one. but this is a trump poll. he has improved his favorability ratings and his supporters are actually starting to believe he can win. >> reporter: trump is making big gains with men. he is now beating clinton by 19 points among them. an increase of ten points since our last poll. among women, clinton has a 16-point edge. but that's down three points since last month. . >> everyone expected the gender gap to be a story about women.

both on air and on-line at whdh.com. all right. right now, we want to take a live look outside. on this friday. the sunshine has returned. but will it stick around for the weekend? the newest member of our 7 news team meteorologist is here with a first look at the forecast. >> reporter: good news, you guys. the sunshine will stick around through today. we are looking at mostly sunny skies. actually, you see that satellite and radar all clear. a beautiful friday forecast. temperatures haven't warmed up a ton since t but we are looking at seasonable temperatures today. reaching into the mid-50 ex. the winds are making things feel much cooler. sustained winds up to 15 miles per hour. that is what worcester is looking at right now. some wind gufss ranging between 20, even 25 miles per hour. expect a breezy couplele of days here temperature-wise. again, we are in the mid-50's in boston. chillier in worcester. at 50 degrees. here is a quick look at our temperature profiles as we head into the weekend. temperatures are going to drop to below average.

mid-50's. back to you guys. >> christa: all right. thank you. one person has died after getting hit on 128 in waltham. the victim was walking in the middle lanes late last night. investigators say the victim was hit by more than one car as well. and authorities so for a v not released that person's name. another car accident in dartmouth where police are investigating after two students were hit by another vehicle. investigators say that they were struck... they struck two women near the entrance to the umass-dartmouth campus last night. on the scene and both victims were transported to the hospital. no word on their conditions right now. >> sarah: harvard university rocked by a soccer scandal. the entire men's team suspended. the rest of the season called off. harvard's president making the call after sexually explicit rankings of women emerged. and the president says this has been going on for years. victoria warren has more. >> reporter: soccer season cut short. harvard's own athletic director canceling remaining

team. the players are accused of rating women soccer players on-line. making vulgar and explicit sexual comments about them. . >> i'm a female athlete here. if that happened to me, you know, i would have felt disrespected. you know, it would have been a problem. north an e-mail to students, the athletic director says the players called it a scouting report. and says the problems date back to 2012. initially, the school thought it was an isolated incident. investigated, the athletic director says they learned it was more widespread and continued this season. harvard's president supports canceling the rest of the season, saying "the decision to cancel a season is serious and consequential and reflects harvard's view that both the team's behavior and the failure to be forthcoming when initially questioned are completely unacceptable, have no place at harvard, and run counter to the mutual respect that is at the core value of our community.

about here. something had to be done. >> reporter: certainly, the people who let it deserve punishment that extreme. report t players are ordered to get education and training from the school's office of sexual assault prevention. in boston, victoria warren, 7 news. >> sarah: more news today. the man accused of robbing a bakery in brookline is appearing in court today. the man who is apparently known to police was arrested overnight. after investigators say that he robbed a bakery on beacon street. the suspect told workers he had a gun showed one. and he also stole cash from the register. as well as cash and cell phones from customers who happened to be inside. today, a federal jury in boston is listening to details of how convicted killer gary lee sampson murdered his victims. on thursday, the jury listened to chilling confessions of how he took the lives of three different men. this is a retrial of sampson's sentencing phase. he was initially given the death penalty. that verdict was thrown out

>> christa: a terrifying story in south carolina. a woman missing for more than two months is found alive after being held hostage. police say they found her chained inside of a storage shed. in a sex offender's backyard. >> sarah: deputies searched the property and heard the woman banging from inside this crate. now they are searching for more possible victims. gabe gutierrez has the very latest. >> reporter: this morning after a harrowing two-month is free. friends and family calling her rescue a miracle. missing since august along with her boyfriend charlie carver, authorities say they found brown chained up in a padlocked metal storage container. >> it was pretty emotional, to say the least. when she was found. especially, you know, when she was chained like a dog. she had a chain around her neck. >> reporter: found on a rural property, the container is roughly the size of a school bus.

wide by ten feet high. according to police. brown told investigators about four bodies she believes are buried on the property. triggering a massive search. >> we are trying to make sure that, you know, that we don't have a serial killer on our hands. >> reporter: authorities found weapons, ammunition and a car they say belongs to brown's boyfriend. so far, no bodies. now under arrest, the owner of the property, a registered sex offender. investigators believe brown acquainted. >> i don't think this was a random act. >> reporter: brown and carver reportedly had dinner august 29 at their apartment. the next day, friends received texts from her. two days later, they stopped coming. >> after several weeks, mysterious postings began to appear on carver's facebook page. suggesting the couple was fine. but their families believe those were fake. this morning, the stunning discovery, still sinking in. >> just knowing that she is

our pollster, dr. joshua from umass-lowell is with us right now. you asked voters in new hampshire on a variety of key issues, who they trust to do a better job handling a specific issue. what are the issues that donald trump wins in in new hampshire? >> well, he wins on immigration. he wins on the economy. and he wins on terrorism. >> reporter: immigration was a key part of his campaign. >> absolutely. the wall has been and has continued through his campaign. >> reporter: and the economy he wins on. the economy. we always say that is the number one issue. >> yeah. almost always the number one issue unless we are in a foreign conflict. that is a big deal. that explains why he has moved up on this poll. >> reporter: what are the issues that voters trust hillary clinton most about in. >> interestingly, foreign policy is at the top of that list. and then some other issues. social security, medicare, women's issues and race

weapon was an air-soft gun. parents tell 7 news the school sent a letter home saying that a child brought a weapon to school but nothing specifically about a gun. >> i was really scared. i'm hoping that we see how it happened and to prevent it in the future. >> nancy: the boy's father turned the gun over to police along with two live rounds in the magazine. >> the parents need to know and they need to lock it all the time. >> nancy: the owner will be charged with improper storage of a firearm. >> sarah: a final farewell for a teen killed at a lowell house party. the 15-year-old will be remembered in a wake in tewksbury today. he was taken to the hospital
