weapon was an air-soft gun. parents tell 7 news the school sent a letter home saying that a child brought a weapon to school but nothing specifically about a gun. >> i was really scared. i'm hoping that we see how it happened and to prevent it in the future. >> nancy: the boy's father turned the gun over to police along with two live rounds in the magazine. >> the parents need to know and they need to lock it all the time. >> nancy: the owner will be charged with improper storage of a firearm. >> sarah: a final farewell for a teen killed at a lowell house party. the 15-year-old will be remembered in a wake in tewksbury today. he was taken to the hospital

he died two days later. his funeral will be held tomorrow. an 18-year-old is being charged in the death. he slammed the victim's head on the concrete after he stumbled into him. it took a while for him to be taken to the hospital because the other people there allegedly didn't want to get in trouble for drinking. >> christa: 600 jobs, including 250 in rhode island. these layoffs will be made over the next two months as cvs tries to streamline its operations. layoffs will affect entry-level workers all the way up to senior management. the rhode island governor says many affected employees will be able to find other positions within the company. >> they are eliminating these positions but aing other positions. that is why i say it is very possible many of these people continue to work at cvs but in different jobs.
