the sun comes up. for now the street is still blocked, the investigation continues into this fatal fire. >> once we got outside we saw the big ball of fire. >> reporter: massive flames torching a house in roxbury on george street saturday morning. >> the house just started to go up quick, it was very, very fast. >> reporter: 7 news is told one person was killed in the fire. another person suffered serious burns and is being treated at the hospital. >> his clothes were charred, he he panicked and he was gasping for air so he was probably in there inhaling all the smoke. >> reporter: the two-story building eventually collapsed into itself. >> it was going pretty good when the companies here, they couldn't even get inside. >> reporter: when the flames began to spread, neighbors like leslie and her family were told to leave their home. in all, six adults and five

heard multiple gunshots. >> i was at home, i was on the second floor right next to the window, and i heard 10 gun shots. there was a large postal vehicle parked right there, and they had a bullet hole in their, basically in the hood of the vehicle. >> anchor: police say they think there were two men shooting at each other from inside two cars. no arrests have been made. >> anchor: the suspect involved in last night's attack on the billerica police officer is now in 28-year-old eric al banese has been arrested for hitting and dragging an officer last night. two officers were investigating suspicious activity in a parking lot when one of the officers approached the car. the driver then threw a needle on the ground, put the car in reverse and then struck the officer, he dragged that officer about 15 feet before he finally fell. that officer was treated for nonlife threatening injuries.

on a south carolina property is that of the boyfriend of a woman mo was found chained inside a storage container earlier this week. tonight we're also learning the suspect has admitted to kill at least seven other people. police are still searching that property expecting to find more bodies as we learn more about the suspect's troubled past. kidnapping suspect told kohlhepp brought out of his holding cell and to the scene where he allegedly held a s we're also learning chilling new details about what appears to be a long history of violence. court documents reveal when kohlhepp has just 15, he kidnapped and raped a girl in arizona, he told investigators he did it because me was angry at his father. his mother described tom a probation officer as destructive and hostile. and said he had threatened to kill her if he does not get his way. a neighbor said he locked her son inside a dog kennel and

past of the now 45-year-old man sheriff's deputies say chained a woman inside a storage container on his 95-acre property the woman and her boyfriend, charlie carver, had had been missing since august. >> she witnessed the defendant shoot charles david carver. >> reporter: carver's remains were discovered in a shallow grave today. authorities say the woman told them she believes at least four other bodies are also buried on that land the tonight work, which worked to find the missing woman says she's doing well physically. emotionally she's having good and bad moments. meanwhile, a memorial for the victims is continuing to grow on the fence right outside the search grid, as police continue to search for evidence and answers. >> anchor: also from the night team,s in roxbury searching for a suspect involved in a shooting and stabbing. it all happened this morning in

the victim was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries. >> anchor: police are investigating after a man is killed during a shooting in dorchester overnight. shortly after midnight police responded to shots fired, soon after a man showed up at a hospital suffering from gun shot wounds, that man later died. so far no arrests. >> anchor: a new hampshire man is facing animal cruelty charges after shooting a dog in mason. the incident happened last month, the dogs owner says she heard shots fired and then called her dog inside, w he had a gunshot wound down his back. a man turned himself in who says he shot the dog because it came running at his 6-year-old son, he says he was worried for his son's safety. colton will be in court in january. still ahead, an emotional memorial for an army specialist

>> anchor: the town of dracut honoring a hero after he was killed in iraq. today state and local leaders came together town veil a memorial in his honor. >> anchor: hundreds came out to show their support. nancy chen has the story from dracut. >> reporter: a fitting tribute as the community gathered in dracut saturday park in honor of arybl specialist matthew boule, the first massachusetts service man killed in the line of duty during operation iraqi freedom. >> if he got mad at you, he'd still be smiling. he'd still have a twinkle in his eye. if you was cold he'd give you the shirt off his back. >> reporter: boule was 22 when he died in april of 2003, his helicopter shot down over iraq.

overnight tonight, during the overnight hours, they'll be hit or miss. but tomorrow will be confined to the immediate coastline. it's really the cape, south shore could get tagged with a drop or two and then cape ann maybe a drop or two of rain. vast majority of the area will be dry all day long, again much like we had out there today. currently sitting at 51 in boston, 45 in bedford, 40 in fitchburg and 41 worcester. across the bore about five to 1n part of the reason, we have a west southwesterly win out there. that will shift to the more of a northerly wind tomorrow and you will notice some gusts up around 20 or 25 during the day. there's the front now w. that front there are a few sprinkles on the map, but it's all green, meaning it's liquid rain rather than the snow and ice that we had mixed in last night. but this will come through during the overnight hours and with that again you might notice a drop or two of rain here and

around to the north. with a brisk northerly wind blowing across what is relatively warm water, we could see some ocean effect sprinkles. again not expecting any measurable rain, but a drop or two for cape ann, south shore, better chance for the cape. as you get further west skies start to clear out. hardly anything west of worcester tomorrow. so a little more cloud cover near the coastline, a little more sunshine west tomorrow afternoon. but breezy and a little on the cool side just about everywhere. election day, let me turn this way, election day looks really nice. lots of sunshine. low 60s in the afternoon. if you're debating whether to go in the morning or afternoon hours, we'll be kind of chilly in the morning, so you're probably better off waiting in line in the afternoon hours if you have to wait in a long line to get into the polls. low 60s tuesday afternoon and stays mild well into the evening on tuesday.
