stretch of 95 northbound in raleigh. george town police officer was in his cruiser with his blue lights on in construction detail when he was hit from behind. preliminary investigation from state police has determined alcohol and drugs were not a factor in this crash. both cars sustained major damage. both driver of the car and the officer were rushed to a hospital in newburyport. we're told that neither person taken to the hospital here has life threatening injuries. this is an ongoing no word if the driver of that car that hit the police cruiser will be facing any charges or be cited for this crash. >> latest live from newburyport tim caputo, 7 news. frightening situation at the manville school until roxbury today. one student and 5 teachers all rushed to hospital after inhaling fumes. investigators say it came from an overheated battery, school president says no one had to be evacuated and no one is seriously hurt.
