on election day. baker growing... going to his hometown in swampscott. he filled out his ballot with one exception. help did not cast a vote for president. nancy chen is back now with that story. >> nancy: sarah, that is right. governor baker is a lifelong republican and headed to the polls this morning but says he did not vote for anyone for president. governor charlie baker casting his vote early tuesday morning in his hometown of swampscott. but declining to vote for either hillary clinton or donald trump. >> i said many months ago that i wasn't going to be able to support donald trump for a number of reasons. i thought hillary clinton had believability problems. nothing has happened in the past nine months to change my mind on that. >> nancy: the republican governor did not vote for trump in the primary. >> this is the first time i haven't voted for president. i'm obviously disappointed by that.

in a way, it communicates to them that they do have their rights here. their voices here. they understand what they are doing. >> reporter: quincy has more than 59,000 registered voters. so far no, problems forecast at any of the polling places. and the city clerk tells us this is the first time she has ever heard of where they have had monitors here in town. live in quincy, nicole oliverio, 7 news. >> sarah: here in massachusetts, several ballot questions are being decidn so let's take a look at question number one. a yes vote would allow the state's gambling commission to issue an additional slots parlor license. developers are aiming to open one near the suffolk downs racetrack. question two, has been highly controversial. it proposes to approve up to 12 new charter schools with an increase in enrollment by up to 1% every year. those schools would have to undergo annual performance reviews.

west to east. we are talking about the chance for scattered showers. i do expect that for tomorrow, for the morning commute, we all could be seeing that. the bulk of that activity should be further in western massachusetts. as we head into the lunch hour, that is when i think we stand a better chance of widespread scattered showers. and again, these aren't going to pack a punch when it comes to moisture. a couple of tenths of an inch at best. showers continue through eastern massachusetts across the cape into the early evening hours. you can see most of this does as we head into the later evening hours. a quick check on rainfall totals with the system. not a whole lot. a lot of us seeing a couple of hundredths of an inch of rain. i do think some of us could see about a quarter of an inch of rain. especially across the cape. but again, scattered showers kind of bringing if...

dry into the end of the week as well. today, mostly sunny skies. mild conditions. we already have that sea breeze going. that is going to continue through the afternoon. for us, temperatures closer to 60 degrees. upper 50's. you can see further inland, temperatures already in the mid to low 60's. a great day to get outside and vote. no excuse with the weather. winds still very light. and very comfortable. not going to be nearly as cold as what we woke up to this morning. temperatures in the upper 30's. we could see a little patchy fog as well especially in southeastern massachusetts. that shouldn't be widespread. definitely something to watch out for on your morning commute tomorrow. by friday, i think we have the slight chance for some showers for your veteran's day
