dan? >> reporter: we got inside the ballroom where trump supporters will wait out the election results. you can see it's a small room for a national presidential race. the area that is emcity going to be filled by family and friends and beyond that, a small pen where you see media there. that is where some of the supporters lucky enough to get a ticket are going to wait as they wait out the results of an election that poles opened this morning an bright and early. donald trump buying treats from kids before voting at a new york city school. he was there with his wife, daughter, and her husband. after casting his vote turn refused to make a blanket statements to reporters that he would accept election results. saying only that things are looking good. >> very excited. great opportunity. tremendous enthusiasm.

world. >> reporter: a nevada judge tossed out a trump challenge to early voting there. the team said some people cast their votes hours after the polls were supposed to close. opponents said those people were in line in time. as trump chris crossed the country yesterday he said patriots quarterback tom brady told him over the phone that he voted for him. here is tom posing with poll workers when he dropped off his absentee ballot. >> he called today said, "donald, i support you. you are my friend and i voted for you." >> that prompted somebody to ask gisele bundchen if she and tom were supporting trump. gisele responded with an emphatic no! trump did post a video on his twitter feed urging people to vote like him. >> vote today. we're going to make america great again.

election results as we send it over to byron barnett, who has been following the campaign, you were' mentioning they've built a stage there in the shape of the continental u.s. >> reporter: yes, we've watched it go together here. it looks pretty cool. it, it's where hillary clinton will be giving her speech. you know. it's a quiet day as you said after such a volatile campaign. after she voted she went me of phone calls to some interview, did tweeting, mainly urging people to get out and vote. final preparations under way at the javitz convention center in new york where hillary clinton will address her supporters under a the nation when the results of the election are known. clinton who has often spoken of breaking through the hardest and highest glass ceiling will be underneath a real one when she speaks standing on a stage shaped like the united states.

there reports is that it's up. we're also have pennsylvania and michigan. those are part of that sort of mid west fire wall, blue collar and she needs those. >> okay. 9:00. moving west and that means the polls are going to be closing in states including arizona, colorado, wisconsin and minnesota. is that enough? >> wisconsin and minnesota are places where trump has attempted to make inroads making campaig arizona is a place trump should win by clinton has sort of zoot scooted up -- scooted up in the pools. i don't know we'll know the result unless we get the final returns come in from north carolina and florida you. >> are starting to sound like a late result. let me ask you this. 45 million people have already voted. how quickly do we get to see that? >> we can't count the early votes until the actual election day. >> legally. >> legally.

record. if voter feels more a part of the process than ever. >> what is wonderful about quincy is because of the large population of chinese here that is a ballot also is in chinese so it's in a way that the communicates to them they do have their rights here, voices here when they understand what they're doing. >> reporter: this is the first year that the state of massachusetts has offered early voting. while many people did take advantage of it, there are reports there were long ne polling places. kimberly bookman, 7 news. >> kim: the balance of power as we've talked about in congress could shift. here is one of the key congressional race unfolding in new hampshire. governor maggie hassan trying to take a seat away from republican senator kelly ayotte. start with the hey san campaign. covering that is tim caputo. he is live in manchester, new hampshire. >> reporter: you see behind me they're putting finishing touches on the

governor maggie hassan. that has been a close race throughout. a big deal for potentially huge implications nationwide this. is statistical dead heat into the polls. and governor hassan cast her ballot and spent the rest of her day giving her final push. the nation watching the granite state knowing if hassan can oust ayotte just one term it could go a long way to swing the senate to the democrats. if you look at how much money has been pumped into both of these campaigns, more than 100 million spend in advertising, that is the most in any senate race here in the country. tim caputo, 7 news. >> adam: let's go to the ayotte campaign and jonathan hall live in concord, new hampshire, jon. >> reporter: good evening. from the ayotte campaign,

use senate and the party is counting on kelly ayotte to help keep it that way. this morning ayotte greeted supporters as she arrived with her husband and two kids at an elementary school in her home town of nashua. she dubsed into a voting -- ducked no a voting both and withdrew her support for the man at the top of the ticket after this video shocked the nation. she became new first female attorney general in 2004 and she enjoys the support of law enforcement. fight the drug epidemic and supporting jobs are her two top priorities. most of the polls show ayotte with a razor thin lead but she is remaining confident and they are heaping that will be a fun party. jonathan hall, 7 news. >> kim: thank you. still ahead controversial

with more on question 2. >> reporter: a lot of money has been thrown at this ballot initiative depend on advertisements and mail campaigns like this making it the most expensive in state history. quite a bitter battle on election day. it's question 2 passes the state board of education could approve 12 new charter schools or allow current ones to expand their enreportment each year. the governor has vocal in his support for question 2 canvassing for it. while mayor marty walsh and senator warren epose it. >> her -- >> reporter: those that support the expansion say it would create opportunity in urban areas and move massachusetts closer to providing an equal education for all. >> kids in my neighborhood will have a bert opportunity for a bet every education. they can compete with kids in the suburbs.

now coming in from new york and pennsylvania. out ahead of this cool front. this is the first of a few that will come at us. there is a batch of rainfall through the ohio river valley but that rains rise up as it approaches new england. that has been the theme of 2016, the drought although the last self weeks we've made inroads in and the other thing about the cool front there is no real cold air that comes charging out of canada. so temperatures stay mild. generally in the 40s cool spots near boston near 50 early tomorrow morning. mostly cloudy skies. few sprinkles and a spot shower tomorrow afternoon but anotherred mild day. temperatures between 55-60. you notice the rain shower activity few and far between. rain gear if you are going to grab it stays on stand by for most of the afternoon. you don't need the wellies. it's that little rain. lots of sunshine. temperatures will bounce up and down.
