it looks like home was in the middle of construction when that roof gave way. the home is one of five around christmas tree lane, a cul-de-sac in kingston. it appears construction crews were working on that hole when the frail of the roof collapsed. as you can see several police officers have been on scene just trying to figure out what happened and it's unclear if anyone was injured. now we do have crews on the way to kingston. we'll continue to bring you the very latest as it develops. in the control room this afternoon, kelly o'hara, 7 news. >> anchor: also murder after his son died in a hot car. today a jury found justin ross harris guilty of intentionally leaving his son in the car to die. prosecutors say he wanted out of hits family responsibilities so he could pursue an affair outside of his marriage. the defense call the by's death a tragic accident. now the 22-month-old boy, cooper died back in june of 2014. the toddler's father left him in the back seat of an suv for hours while he was at work. >> anchor: police in nay being

crime related to the election. a man received several disturbing letters at his home, targeting his two minority roommates. >> anchor: the letters were filled with hateful and racist slurs. victoria warren has much more. a hate came investigation in natick. these letters filled with racial slurs and threats left on a machine's doorstep. a handwritten letter references clearing out the white house, a typed letter names donald trump. the letters tell the man that natick is a white only town and then go on to target his black one of the letters even threatens to kill them saying these letters are warnings and the homeowner doesn't want to get a third one. natick police say the letters were dropped off late last week. the man called 911 and police say they are taking this seriously and investigating it as a hate crime. >> reporter: this is something other cities are dealing with right now. two groups that track hate speech, the southern poverty law center and the counsel on american islamic relations, say

hate speech and hate crimes reported to their agencies. in natick, victoria warren, 7 news. >> anchor: on the run. police searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery at a gas station over the weekend. investigators say the two men were wearing masks when they robbed a woman working behind the counter at gun point and knife point. now that woman is speaking out about that scary experience. a terrifying robbery at gun point. i thought i was going to die. >> reporter: chrissy still stormed into this gas station in brockton friday night. she says the men were wearing masks and one was carrying a gun. the other wielding a knife. i kept asking, yeah, where is the money. >> reporter: she got pushed into a corner and opened the register while they pointed the gun and five at her. i couldn't believe it at the beginning and then i was started thinking that i'm going to end up being hurt, being in a

feel like november in boston. it's pretty warm out there today. >> anchor: if felt more like early spring out there because it's 60 degrees, i was out walking around and peel are loving this. my guess is it won't last. >> reporter: it will be tough moving forward to hold on to this 60 degree weather. but overall the week does feature mild weather. we have to go through a runny day tomorrow, which we do need the rain. we're still that that drought and that rain will keep temperature in the low 50's. also because of the super moon we have king tides, astronomical high tides so noon high there could be minor coastal flooding at the midday high tide tomorrow. temperatures today in the mid and upper 60's. look at are in wood up to 68. boston had a high temperature of 65 or check that, 66 actually. when you average out the month of november thus far it's running about a degree and a half before normal and last november also was very warp, in fact that was a top ten warmest november and this week is going to be mild with a jet stream well off to our north. that's going to keep chilly air out of new england.

the seahawks goes south. >> anchor: a scare at school in lawrence. a fire forces hundreds of students from the classroom. crews race to the scene to get all of the children out safely. >> anchor: these flames were contained to a single room, but there is a lot of damage left behind and investigators are trying to figure out what sparked that fire. steve cooper live in lawrence with what we know right now. kim, this was no fire drill. this was the real deal. now the flames are out tonight but th take a look behind us here. you can see crews are busy right now boarding up all of the broken windows up in the second floor classroom where all of the flames broke out this morning and for now, this building is off limits. the teacher came in and she said oh fire, fire and then we just left. >> anchor: toppled over desks and broken windows. that's just some damage left behind after flames and smoke broke out on the second floor science room here at the bruce school in lawrence.

floor of an occupied school with 525 students, 70 staff members, fire was contained to the second floor classroom. >> anchor: no injuries even as smoke began seeping through the hallways around 8:30 this morning. two alarms were quickly struck insuring the orderly evacuation. the superintendent says this is exactly why they have fire drills during the school year. it must be a tough call for a superof you have a school on fire. no one ever wants to hear that. >> reer the bruce which is third through eighth grade heard it and knew it was no drill. what was it like to see a fire at your school? i was nervous. i didn't know like what to do. like i didn't know if my sister was safe or anything. >> reporter: kids were taken away to a middle school while fire fighters work to win point the cause. school officials just breathing a sigh of relief. the about line is at the end of the day all of the kids
