>> anchor: luck at that super moon no moon early this morning, about 8:54 this morning. still, close enough we can call it a super moon and moon rise about an hour ago. that washere in town. just a gorgeous shot right there. closest we have had a full moon to earth since january 26, 1948 of the down side to this super moon is that it's playing tug of war with earth and so that sets up our tide cycles but when it's really close like this you have some really high astronomical tides. we had it last month as well.
5:23 pm
these are highest we'll have all clear and the concern is that the midday high tide tomorrow, 11: 07[ta?-fp] a.m. likely to be minor coastal flooding, not only concerned about moderate coastal flooding. even though we have a storm on the way tomorrow, the south and southeast winds do not coincide with the highest high tide at midday. the strongest southeast winds and then the storms surge if you will happens around low tide tomorrow. so we do catch a break but with that said, there is a coastal flood coast of massachusetts for that midday high tide and again, keep in mind too when you work up into a high tide sickle it's about an hour and a half before the time of the tide and then an hour and a half after the tide so you are working up into the high tide then working back out of it. so along shore roads tomorrow be mindful of that. could be some flooded roadways but nothing significant. on with the current weather. what a nice, mild afternoon. 50's and 60's right now. the city at 62.
5:24 pm
with mostly clear skies earlier today and now clouds are beginning to move in so again we're losing that super moon here in a couple of hours. from this storm system right here, which will wobble up the eastern seaboard overnight tonight and into new england tomorrow, clouds on the increase tonight, temperatures tonight 30's and low 40's, your early morning commute is dry but grab the rain gear because i think we'll see periods of rain arriving about 10:00 tomorrow morning. and we'll have the rain going through the afternoon including the evening commute and there will be some wind developing at the coastline. southeast wind ten to with the rain. temperatures in the upper 40's and low 50's. here is your storm time line. again at 10:00 here comes the rain for most of us it's just general rain but there could be couple of burst the or few downpours but nothing significant. again it's not a powerhouse storm but it is a storm nonetheless. we welcome the rain of still in the drought. i think most towns about a half inch to in some locations maybe an inch of rain. beneficial rain at that. so that's our one storm for the week. we peel that out of here tomorrow night and wednesday.
