arrests. this is the intersection where it happened as you can see it's very busy and investigators are hoping that images from that surveillance camera up there could lead to an arrest. what do you make of that? i think it's awful. the video shocking and elderly woman run down right in the crosswalk in broad daylight. that's horrible. people are horrible in chelsea. this happens a lot. the hit and run cut by a surveillance camera. it happened about 10:20 m. video. the money van was heading south on fourth street at the broadway intersession. a 72-year-old pedestrian was struck, spun around and knocked down on her back. it's kind of crazy. this area is really congested honestly all the time. there are a lot of pedestrians walk zig-zagging around. woman just lay there for several seconds but then she moves. as she starts to get up a good samaritan stops to help. a second person also came over. at least there are some good people. the driver i'm not sure that's a

this suspect is a senior at the votech high school this bourne. he also the captain the football team and his attorney says he is absolutely shocked about these allegations but police say they have evidence that he assaulted him and tried to kidnap a 14 yearly girl. he is innocent. i love him and any other comments you can talk to the lawyer a mother defending her son. johnal especially handcuffed in the his bail revoked. police say the 18-year-old from bourne tried to kidnap a 14-year-old girl, not far from his home one morning last week as she was walk zig-zagging to her bus stop. i tackled her from behind, placed his arm around her neck while she was on the ground apply zig-zagging pressure and affect zig-zagging her breathing and then attempted to pull her back toward the perpetrator's vehicle. >> reporter: police say allen drove away when a 13-year-old girl who saw the alleged attack

evidence inside allen's car. inside the vehicle was a maroon hood sweatshirt with white lettering that had a long black hair on it which accord zig-zagging to the police report matches the type of hair that the victim in this case has. buten's defense attorney said allegations are totally out of character and that there are conflict zig-zagging description zig-zagging of the suspect's vehicle and the suspect himself. only eyewss was in close proximity to the victim. she was shown a photo array. the defendant's photo was in that photo array. she failed to identify anybody within that felt oh array. >> reporter: allen is being held without bail pending a dangerousness hear zig-zagging next week. meantime police say that sweatshirt and hair that they found in his car are at a crime lab now with a rush order to get it processed.

a swat team response the boston university today. police say someone called, they claimed they are barricaded in the library and they had bobby trapped the area. steve cooper live in the bu campus with more on a false alarm. >> reporter: these were nerve-racking mole for students who were inside the library here at bu first thing this morning and no sooner were they in the build there was a swat team that rushed in, scrambling in reports of an active oater inside. . >>i have never seen anything like this. it's unreal. >> reporter: a massive police response and tense mopes on the boston university campus shortly after 8:00 this morning. nervous, very nervous. same time it seems to be all too common. >> reporter: right behind there. thank you. right there. >> reporter: bu police receiving a call from a man with a foreign accent claiming he was in a booby trapped room on the fourth floor of the mugar line

shot a hostage. a call came in, someone is shot. so it's very alarm zig-zagging and that's why you can see how serious we took it. teams sealed off the area before sweeping all six floors of the build zig-zagging then determining the call was a hoax. police say what is so unusual here is the caller stayed on the phone with a dispatcher for several minutes. we're in the process of tracing the call. it did come into the bu police at it was an actual person on the other end of the line answer zig-zagging questions. >> reporter: frustrated police say they have no choice but to take threats like this seriousl. it was very methodical. you can't take these hoaxes without check zig-zagging them out thoroughly. what do you think someone would do something like this as a hoax? it's horrifying. there is all kinds of things happening we have never seen before. we have friends hassled on the street for their race in boston in the last few days.

>> reporter: that hoax call was recorded by police and right now bu police in boston police are working with intelligence officials. they are hoping to track down the man who made that call first thing this morning. live in boston about tonight, steve cooper, 7 news the city's west high school had to be evacuated do you to a strong chemical odor. some 50 staff and students lined up outside and looked like the air of concern was warranted and some students got sick. the source of the strong smell was a floor cleaning product used by custodians. 30 students were evaluate and within was taken to the hospital for symptoms related to the fumes. some of the students are mild headaches, dizziness, some tim symptoms that were being checked on. one student went to the hospital with chest pains. another tuned upon checking with

>> reporter: official say it took an hour to air the school out but the air quality levels are now back to normal. >> anchor: now to president-elect donald trump's transition to the white house. mr. trump making a big settlement today in those fraud lawsuits against truffle university. he is has agreed to pay $25 million to settle three cases against the university, students at the for profit school claim they were lured by false promises for paying thousands of dollars to learn trump's real estatein cabinet decisions today. alabama senator jeff sessions hand been offered the role of attorney general. trump supporters are applaud zig-zagging the choice but the congressional black us opposes the nomination cite zig-zagging racially charged remarks he made in the 80's that cost him a position as a federal judge. the president-elect is also chosen kansas congressman as director of the cia. this choice has been more widely praised.

with a forever family. today if you didn't know it is national adoption day. >> anchor: here in massachusetts more than 30 families are growing, 7's nicole oliverio caught up with them today. 20-month-old amaya may not have her daddy's eyes but she sure does have their hearts. she is already part the family. she was part. ly day one. >> reporter: today christian, joe and amaya officially became family. her adoption finalized. we weren't eligible to adopt her until of the past year. so they thought it was nice to kind after line it with national adoption day. >> reporter: she joined 32 other children at the brockton courthouse who found their forever family. he is the cherry on the top of our sundae. little justin is the eighth child for the mcclouds. they athe did four children, three from the same family. we adopted sam and lily first and then justice was been and they asked us and we would never say no. so it's been such a gift to be able to keep them together.

>> anchor: weekend just about here. lot of clouds both weekend days. think tomorrow is the nicer of the two because sunday will feature a cold wind, especially lunch time through the afternoon hours. so tomorrow will be the day where you do the yard work and get out and b.temperatures tomorrow similar to today, not quite as warm.

travel. if you are traveling out of new england tomorrow to start your holiday week, again no weather issues here in the northeast, in fact most of the country is storm free. there is one weather system moving through the great lake states that will be the same one that comes into new england on sunday by the way. and then the west coast from seattle all the way down to san francisco if you are heading out west for the game plan on rain both tomorrow and again on sunday. here is where that storm is right now and again a lot of snow close to a foot of snow over a foot of and not of minneapolis. so that storm system heads up across southern canada and drags this cold front with it up into new england very lit tomorrow night and early in the i did on sunday. tomorrow's issue is this storm out here and i think it's going to throw a couple of clouds our way late tonight and through the day tomorrow. so clouds on the increase overnight tonight. cool, 35 to 403. tomorrow is mainly cloudy day. i think there will be some sunshine that farther west you travel and where you have that

boston plan on temperatures tomorrow only in the low 50's. attleboro with peeks of sun, not of town near 50 on cape ann, low 50's the seacoast. middle and upper 50's as you work through the merrimack. worcester hills partly sunny skies, upper 50's, some of you close to 60 and out on to the cape and islands chatham, mashpee, wellfleet, clouds. temperatures near 50 degrees. so that's tomorrow. sunday a lot of clouds as well. there may be an isolated shower with that cold front before 7:00 a.m. on sunday. otherwise it is just all about the wind and a cold temperatures briefly sunday morning near 50 but for mote of the day sunday the temperatures will be in the 40's as the cold air comes barrel zig-zagging into the northeast. the rain will change over to snow in new york state and eventually west and northern new england will get a decent shot of some snow shower activity sunday and into monday. look at the amount of snow that's on the way for ski country. if you are a skier for thanks giving this is what you want to see. no snow metro boston, not yet. but the pattern certainly looks colder next week with
