scary scene that was caught on camera. you can't blame her she feels lucky to be alive tonight. >> anchor: the man who was behind the wheel was in court today. he didn't know he hit someone. live in chelsea with the story. alex. >> reporter: this is where that crash happened and the victim says tonight to just one station she has a sprained wrist and a bruised foot. >> looked like it was right on top of me. and >> reporter: 72-year-old carol donnely talking to just one station. the "accident" caught on tape. >> i said he's not stopping top myself or something. i heard a big bang and i hit my head i remember that i guess i tried to get up. >> reporter: he was behind the wheel of the van that hit donnely. his lawyer says hernandez never stopped because he didn't know

of the ordinary. no bump. nothing to suggest that he made contact with another object. >> i'm upon hearing people saying stop stop. >> he's dodging through traffic. going through stop signs. >> reporter: police released video of the accident and a tip led them to hernandez. >> in the middle of the street. requesting [inaudible] cash -- tell could have been worse than it was. >> reporter: donnle said she suffered a wrist and bruised foot. >> at least if he stopped he was saying he was showing he was sorry. when he took off i really don't know. >> reporter: and tonight hernandez ordered held on $2000 bail. live in chelsea alex deprado 7

a school bus crash in tenessee. the bus was the only vehicle involved in this crash. 35 elementary school students on board ranging in age from kindergarten to 5th grade. investigators say the bus driver is cooperating. counselors are standing by to help the families. >> anchor: following a developing story over seas now. a massive earthquake strikes off the eastern coast of the epicenter 200 miles northeast of tokyo. reports that buildings were shaking in tokyo. they issued a tsunami warning. we're staying on top of the situation. bring you information as soon as we get it. >> anchor: a boston charter school investigating claims about what happened on a school bus. they've notified police with their concerns. the case is in the district attorney's hands.

disturbing allegations at the boston renaissance charter school in hyde park. the matter has been passed from the school to the boston police to a child advocate agency. according to a facebook posting shared more than 1300 times parents in an uproar of reports a 6-year-old sexually molesting other children on the school bus bribing them with gifts and beating them up if they police say there's nothing they can do because the child is 6 years old. under massachusetts law the legal age of intent is 7. which means a 6-year-old cannot be prosecuted. turned the matter over to the children's advocacy center of suffolk county. we have taken this matter very seriously and have taken appropriate measures to ensure student's safety.

the children who were involved. now the department of children and families is also investigating and we talked to boston mayor marty walsh who said he was notified by the police about this. the matter has been turned over to the district attorney's office. he called this a sad situation. in hyde park byron barnett 7 news. >> anchor: big news for patriots nation. a key member of the team's defense suspended for 4 games. allen branch violated the league's drug policy. joe amorosino with the details. >> reporter: the patriots have a big hole to fill in the middle of the defensive line from a size stand point. 6'6", 350 pounds. espn's shester reporting branch's 4 game ban is for a positive marijuana test.

of its kind in massachusetts. it could make history. the 52-year-old decided to have his lower leg amputated after a fall while rock climbing. >> anchor: thanks to doctors he may be able to sense his prosthetic leg. jennifer eagan shows us. >> reporter: jim ewing a rock climbing enthusiasts he was the first to scale some spots. he fell 50 feet in the kay man islands. >> i had extensive nerve damage in my foot that made it extremely painful to put on or remove my socks. walking bare foot anywhere was excruciating. >> reporter: jim decided to have his lower leg amputated and be the first patient to take part in an experimental procedure that would allow him to sense his prosthetic.
