the boston renaissance charter school is looking into the claims. been speaks with the mother of the victim. >> i cried. i lost it. >> reporter: it's painful for this mom to speak out. she is not showing her face to protect her young son. she says he was sexually molested by another little boy while on the school bus to the renaissance charter school. >> there was another child that was touching him, and asking him to perform, you know, different sexua just 7 years old. she says the other boy six years old threatened violence and the also touched four other children. >> he was threatening him and saying if you don't do this i'm going to shoot your mother. >> reporter: this mom says it was another child who saw what was' happening and told an adult who then told the school. the school says they took immediate action and caboted police saying -- contacted police saying we've taken this matter seriously and have taken appropriate measures to insure student safety.

the privacy of the children involved. >> very difficult situation. you know. there is clearly potentially going to be a need for therapy. a lot of therapy. >> reporter: this mom agrees but says no one offered to help her son. she is traumatize and afraid to be by himself. >> i think something freeze to be done to the driver. i think he needs to be disciplined. i think the school should take more of a responsibility as far as getting kids in counselling and there must be a on every bus. >> president obama: today other stunned parents said they agree great we need monitors on the boston public school buses and the only way is us as parents need to advocate for it to boston city hall. >> reporter: the charter school is not part of the boston public school system but the school system does provide transportation for this school. the boston public school system says it's currently reviewing the matter.

couldn't help laughing when he saw video of the attempted break in so he posted the video on facebook. along with the pretty clear message. >> the top five dumbest thieves in boston. >> reporter: cameras also captured the man's license plate and rear end damage to the van making it only a matter of time before he ends up behind bars. what is your warning for something who tries to do this? >> don't waste your time. don't waste your time. there is where. >> reporter: amaka ubaka 7 news. >> jadiann: officials at a local college are banning flags at hamshire college after someone set an american flag on fire. hamshire college's president released a statement announcing neither the american flag nor any flag will be flown on campus. this comes after the school received harsh criticism from veterans and community members over the flag that was burned.

that shouldn't have happened in the first time. >> reporter: the flag was lowered to half staff and someone set it on fire the net before veterans day. >> they can be upset but i mean it's a little, they don't have a lot to worry about. they're going to a pretty nice school and i'm sure things are good for them. so they need to show it a different way. >> reporter: for more than a decade there was debate about flying commemorative flags on of amherst. an college student said the flag at hamshire college should have never been touched. >> to be honest the flag shouldn't have been lowered in the first place because that just shows outright intolerance for what happened. >> reporter: the president said the campus will continue to consult with students and staff about appropriately utilizing flags in the future.
