shower. 40 to 46 for the highs in the afternoon. but we start out cold. so here's the bigger picture for us, clouds moving in from the west and we're watching this system here. we've been talking about it for the last few days, mostly bringing rain to the ohio river valley, keeping the snow in the northern great lakes region but that's what's in store for us through the day tomorrow, however it's losing its steam as it's traveling in our direction and we also have drier air that's coming in to play for us, so we could maybe wake up to tomorrow morning we just have cloud cover to wake up to and we keep just the cloud cover with us until the early afternoon hours. maybe some afternoon football in store for you or a walk around the clock to work off some of that stuffing. we hold off on the wet weather and really just light showers, drizzle at this point, until about 5:00 or 6:00 p.m. tomorrow. again, i can't rule out the potential for early flurries or a mix making for some slick spots on the roads early

he was rushed to boston medical center and is expected to be okay. police are looking for the person who opened fire into a house in brockton. investigators say the suspect shot through the front door of a home on hemlock street last night. no one was hurt. 7news turning to a big bust in utah. officials seized bags of cash and a stash of opioids in what they're calling an hifng drug bust. they found 100,000 fake pills and contained a pill press which they s pills. authorities have a 28-year-old man in custody. and a battle for opioid funding continued today. senator marque said the passage of the bill would create for more funding for the he poid epidemic. >> the final two weeks this congress, this crisis is not going away. it must be dealt with at the magnitude of crisis which it

concerned with maybe a line of light precipitation swinging through here. and that could be flurries. but it more likely looks like it could be drizzle that freezes upon contact, that would be sort of freezing rain scenario here, and that could create some slick spots for your early morning travel tomorrow. we head into the midday. i think it's dry, but it's cloudy, and it's a bit raw because we do have some precipitation in the rain form moving in for us later tomorrow night. now, i don't want to completely rule out the potentialor i thought about just tossing out this snow map completely. they will be very scattered if we see anything. but i still think that a good rule of thumb is to plan for the worst and hope for the best. so just use caution, waking up tomorrow morning, if you do have travel plans, that's something to be very aware of, and check the road reports, check the conditions before you head out the door, because look where temperatures will be, if we do see any of that precipitation, meaning wet, it will refreeze

marginally close to freezing in the morning hours. by the time we make it to 2:00 p.m., 43 degrees. hostly just clouds hanging around, and i think that the drizzle or spot showers hold off until we hit the later evening hours, 5:00 or sic p.m. to stretch along 495. meantime temperatures in the low to mid-40s. norwood at 44 right now and 37 in worcester. here's the good news. i love not seeing numbers on this map because the wind gust is less than 20 miles per hour, it does not register. so the winds finally for us, just a light breeze in most locations at this point. a little breezier inside of boston, but the winds will continue to relax over tonight. 27 to 35 for our overnight lows, and then into tomorrow, a little cooler than average for this time of year. but i think we could even scwee out some mid-40s for us here in southern new england. travel map for tomorrow, i mentioned, our storm system that we've been watching rebbing havoc over the great lakes, losing its steam. stormiest spot for travel

that's where you'll want to check for delays. highs tomorrow in the mid-40s for most of us. i think a little aggressive across the south coast to make it to 50. and we're in for really that unsettled weather to continue with us all weekend long but it doesn't look like a lot of rain. all said and done by sunday. could be a quarter of an inch to half an inch of rain. we'll have to hold off until wednesday to see more wet weather working into the picture but by that time, look how mild those temperatures go. into the 50s. what a change. >> absolutely. >> time now for fast traffic. we have matt fitzgerald standing by with the answer to everyone's question. how's it looking out there? >> right here on the pike west it isn't that bad but of course looks can be deceiving. further up on the pike you'll be heavy from 495 all the way out towards 84 in charlton. really tough going there. the eastbound side is moving well. pike west doubt boston to 128, not that bad, only a 28 minute drive. from 128 to 495, 26 minutes.
