as you can imagine the day before thanksgiving very busy time with many people doing some last minute grocery shopping. at that point we don't know what led to that crash. we have a crew headed to the scene right now and will have the latest pen we can -- we can see that it was involving a red car. ryan schulteis, 7news. we are feeling the chill as people head home for the thanksgiving holiday. cold air settling in and feels like winter is here as millions hit the road in the north ' meteorologist bree edgars is standing by with that thanksgiving forecast. and this has been a little tricky one, bree. >> yeah, it has. but it's looking much improved from the last couple of days, and we're gonna walk y'all through it. it was nice to have the sunshine for us today, but the clouds, as you can see just on the horizon for us, and they will move in for us overnight, and a whole big mess through the great lakes. maybe causing some delays for

it loses a lot of steam and we have drier air moving in. we don't have moisture and won't see any precipitation. however, we can't rule it out completely so there is still a slight chance for an early wintery mix, maybe a spot flurry through the morning tomorrow and then we see the improvement in the afternoon as far as the temperatures go. even some dry weather in store for us as we make it into tomorrow afternoon. so walk around the block, a walk with the dogs, some family football in the backyard, looking good. it that we start to see the spotty drizzle, light showers taking over for us, and then the weather stays unsettled for the rest of the holiday weekend. here's your snow forecast map for you. but i do think that this is much overdone, at least with the very broad brush strokes. i can't nail down exactly what areas may see some wintery mix to start the day tomorrow, but there is, again, still that slight chance for some slick spots. if you're headed out the door early, at least to drive around southern new england.

within feet of where her friend was sleeping on the couch. this is the fourth time he's been accused of raping and sexual assaulting women. in 2008 two in boston and a third in florida. in 2009 he was accused of assaulting a boston police officer. but in that case he was acquitted, too. nearly 10 years earlierier, "people" magazine named him one of boston's most eligible bachelors. in private practice specializing and representing clients accused of rape and sexual assaults. accusations he himself is facing for the fourth time. >> mr. zorola is nothing more than a target and this is a case based on a foundation of lies and we vigorously look forward to our day in court. >> he was ordered to pay $10,000 bail and wear a gps monitoring

in the newsroom, i'm cheryl fiandaca. a mawnld arrest after four police officers were hurt outside a bar in dorchester. police say two of the officers were hit by a car and then dragged. that officer took off -- that driver took off, but has now been arrested. 7's steve cooper live for news dorchester. he has the latest on the investigation right now. steve. >> jadiann, police were actually arriving here from a call about a man with a gun and approached a driver who quickly sped away. but that's when he dragged those street. >> that shows what kind of world we're in right now. it's unbelievable. >> reporter: frightening moments over here in dorchester outside the dublin house on stoughton street where two plain clothed boston police officers were dragged down the street by a driver who sped away. late this morning police arrested this man, 34-year-old vincent weeks of roxbury and say he was the person behind the wheel.

these days people are crazy. >> reporter: the two undercover police officers, plus two in uniform, were all transported to the hospital. >> the four officers that went to the hospital subsequent to the injuries are non-life-threatening. should be thankful for that. >> reporter: investigators were scrambling for hours trying to track down the car that they say weeks was driving. a chevy malibu with connecticut license plates. that's sad. sad that that happened. that's not good. >> reporter: with several surveillance camerer to determine if any of this was captured on camera. people who live in the area say one thing's clear, no one should be peeling away from police when they're ordered to stop. >> they're the law enforcers, you have to abide by what they say, as long as they're telling you what's the law. they're following the law, then, yeah, abide by what they're saying. >> so weeks is being held without bail tonight. he'll be arraigned on friday morning on 4 count of sative

warmer, that will be good. i think the best news in the forecast right now is that the winds have died down significantly. not even a breeze in some spots throughout southeastern massachusetts. calm winds as you get through plymouth and buzzard's bay area. with the light winds and the clear skies currently and through the next few hours, it'll allow for those temperatures to drop very quickly. then as the clouds move in, i think that those temperatures will sort of pick a spot and stay there, however, we're still talking about temps dropping below freezing or just right at freezing for overnig tomorrow morning. 27 to 35. that seems to be the biggest concern with this system tracking precipitation in our area. when you get precipitation and cold temperatures you can get ice and there could be the potential for some slick spots as you head out early tomorrow morning.
