tweet just after 10:00 warning of an active shooter situation in a classroom building. students were told to run, hide, fight, a standard warning in this situation. armed police responded. one report says police shot and killed a gunman. cnn quotes a source saying the suspect mostly used a knife and car in the attack. no word on if there might be more suspects. in phone calls from hiding places some hearing gunshots. two taken to the hospital are in stable condition. no word on the others. as many as at nine were taken to the hospital and there are several reports a suspect is dead. one report says shot and killed by police who continue to investigate. within the last half hour they tweeted all clear and lifted the shelter in place but announced all classes have been canceled for the rest of the day. live in the newsroom, dan

get them. >> christa: now breaking news out of brockton, the victim in last week's hit and run has died. this happened friday morning just as a group of people was crossing the street outside of a popular bar. >> sarah: the driver has turned himself in. jennifer eagan is live in brockton with the latest developments. >> reporter: sad update, the district attorney's office tells us the 25-year-old victim passed away from his injuries this morning. detectives believe they've identified the driver and they say that person turned himself in to state police for questioning. that man is not being identified right now until charged. but police believe he was behind the wheel of a 2012 jaguar friday morning around 1:30. witnesses told police the victim, 25-year-old sergio lasonna was crossing the street outside the spot nightclub when struck. the driver did not stop. people rushed to the victim's

hospital in boston where he died this morning. right now the d.a. office is not identifying the driver. they're working out possible charges right now but the driver has turned himself in in this case. we're live in brockton, jennifer eagan, 7news. >> sarah: a car burst into flames after crashing into a logan express bus. three people were injured and taken to the hospital. victoria warren has the details. >> reporter: the crash haed morning. the car tee boning the bus. three people went to the hospital and there was a pretty big fuel spill. a car on fire, chelsea firefighters raced to the scene after this terrible crash on eastern avenue. the car with four people inside t-boned a logan express bus. >> the nature of the accident, the car hit a bus and where the section of the bus it hit happen

the car burst into flames, all four people got themselves out despite being hurt. >> three of those passengers were transported with injuries to local hospitals. one passenger declined medical treatment. >> the injuries not life-threatening and the crash caused a second major problem, 120 gallons of fuel gushing from the bus, some finding its way into two storm drains. the chelsea fire department working with clean harbors for >> we estimate 20-30 gallons leaked into the storm drains so that's -- we're in the process of making sure those storm drains are pumped out. >> reporter: just within the last hour, they finished pumping those storm drains out so that's good news. as for the cause of the crash in the first place that's something that remains under investigation. live in chelsea, victoria warren, 7news. >> christa: a swampscott man indicted for a crash in east

to court. two tourists died in the crash. let's head to steve cooper live at suffolk superior court with more. >> reporter: so three months after that violent crash, that driver who police say was speeding at the time and was drunk at the time faced a judge here. >> steven beerenbalm pleads not guilty to several charges including two vehicle homicide while under the influence. >> he struck the rear of the shuttle at a minimum of 76 miles an hour. >> the 27-year-old was speeding and had a blood alcohol level nearly twice the legal limit when it plowed into a shuttle van outside the ted williams tunnel. five people were in the shuttle, two passengers both from texas were thrown from the van and pronounced dead at the scene. >> were you drunk?
