massive fire in lawrence. right now we know one woman and one firefighter were hurt. the woman had to be rescued from the burning building. both of them are expected to be okay. >> ryan: 7 news in falmouth where police are searching for a suspects. they want to find the thief they say stole several hundreds of gift cards from an elderly woman. >> jadiann: byron barnett is live with more on the story. >> reporter: people here in about all this. the woman getting her purse stolen while shopping. police are asking the public's help in finding who this suspect is. a brazen theft, snatching a purse right out of someone else's shopping cart. >> what is bad at any time of year but it's worse at this time of year. >> reporter: police want you to look at this woman. she is suspected of stealing an elderly woman's purse

gift cards. if happened shortly after 5:00 pm monday. video shows the suspect entering the wal-mart and walking past the victim's shopping cart. you see the woman return and make the grab. >> i just wouldn't want anything to happen to us like that. >> people are desperate. they get desperate this time of year. >> reporter: police say when the victim reported her purse stolen they checked the store's cameras and quickly falmouth police posted the video on their website and the fakebook page. they hope someone recognizes the woman and comes forward. >> i think it's great. i think social media has helped catch a lot of people. it has been a good tool. yeah. >> reporter: maybe it'll catch this person? >> let's hope so. it's terrible. >> reporter: falmouth police say they've gotten a couple of tips. they're checking out. they urge anyone with information to give them a call.

>> ryan: parents at a boston charter school speaking out after allegations of sexual abuse on a school bus. parents expressed their outrage after a naysbook page accused a 6-year-old boy of molesting children on the school bus. >> we got no answers from the people here. okay. my child is not safe. no one's child is safe here. >> they need to let the parents know what is going on with the kids, what they're going to do, parents want to know w notified? >> ryan: monitors have been adding to the bus where the alleged incident occurred. >> jadiann: ashland banning marijuana shops. residents voting at town's meeting to put a ban on accepting a ban until zoning regulations are figured out or until january 2018 when it's allowed. town officials say this decision is about local

making. >> ryan: police are vecting a deadly crash in east boston. a driver was killed when he rolled over his car on route 1 a. crews closed often the road to clear the scene. cause is still under investigation. >> jadiann: new details about a woman who jumped out of a plane and on to the tarmac. the woman will not face charges. she darted across the tarmac. you see the view of it there. the woman was transported to a psychiatric center for medical evaluation. it's unclear why she jumped out of the plane. new development in the kidnapping investigation of a california woman. the victim sherry papino spoke with investigators for the first time today. officials have yet to release details but say they have no reason to doubt her story. police say she disappeared while jogging near her home

she was craned and kuffered with bruce and burns with 140 miles from her home. investigators say they're looking for two women in a dark s.u.v. in connection to the kidnapping. >> ryan: thieves ransacking a las vegas house in broad day light. the owner says there have been several break ins in the area. the holidays are one of the busiest times of the year for home break ins. connecticut police are looking for a group of teens caught on camera store. right now police are looking at the video to try to identify the crooks, some say the flash mobs are gaining popularity on social media. a stampede of kids rush this store. >> knocked everything on the floor. all the candy bars, and take some, did damage everything. >> reporter: the manager at the shell station was ambushed on saturday night. >> we cannot tell why they

deep for more than 12 hours. finally someone heard him screaming for help and crews were able to push in. christa del camp has the story. >> reporter: where is your emergency. >> reporter: the 911 call came in before 8:00 sunday morning. >> no one is around. down in the hole, he is screaming. >> uncontrollably shaking. >> reporter: the chief and other volunteers with the fire department showed up at the scene to find the man trapped and trembling at the bottom of ain longport and was shaking uncontrollably and couldn't verbal other than he kept saying he was okay and not hurt. >> reporter: we lay limb in that and placed it on top of the ladder, tied in, tied the patient in and take a rope and slide him up. he was screaming or something.

for a couple in california. they were' driving in the mountains when they got stuck in the snow but the story does have a happy ending. >> jadiann: after spending the night in their truck the crews found the couple in their truck safe and sound. >> reporter: at about 6:45 on a cold november night a search and rescue vehicle pulled up to the fire station. out first two days of being stuck in the snow. >> i'm fine. >> reporter: he looked for his family members who had been waiting and worrying. his sister in law getting him with a huge hug. >> then rory's wife reunited with her son who had also been anxiously awaiting news from base camp.

susan ventured out saturday morning into the backwoods. they were' just out for a driving adventure when their wheels got stuck in deep snow on a remote forest road. rory hiked to where he could get sell service and sent a text message with their approximate location. dozens of rescuers conducted a thorough search and they found the monday sunset. >> we weren't planning on being stuck but we had sleeping bags and we had food and water. so, yeah, you know, we did fairly well. i started to panic today. tomorrow was going to be burn the fire. burn the tyre day but they showed up and it's so glad to be out of there. we're ecstatic. it wouldn't have been a better outcome. the fact they're doing so well. >> overjoyed. >> i'm telling them they're

sabrina morgan were in their apartment when someone yelled "fire." >> as soon as we got out there was the third floor brew up so we're lucky we got out before that happened. >> reporter: dozens of firefighters scrambled before the chief ordered everyone battling the fire to get out of the building. >> we did find a woman on the right side third floor of the building. crews helped her evacuate. the building. >> reporter: were taken to the hospital. the mayor says these are always challenging calls. >> it's an anchor property for the intersection. we hope that we can, everybody is safe. >> reporter: informers had their hands full trying to knock down stubborn flames while roads in the area were shutdown and curious onlookers were urged to avoid the fire scene, but everyone was thankful there was no loss of life.
