5:04 am
one of the team's clutch playmakers...aaron?? 3 3 3 3 3 3 history of the clemson program there is one guy over its recent history that's had the most experience on offense. i guess eric mac lain would be your number one but a close second charone peake, the pride of dorman hs. charone thanks for taking some time to join us right now. it's got to be a pretty good feeling for you. you're one of the leaders of this team, your careers going to come down to the wire one way or the other, but you wouldn't have it any other way. definitely not, i feel like it's a lot closer to my freshman year this year, it's been an amazing ride. we've been staying in the same hotel. doing the same things. it really makes me realize how far i've come. and i've been enjoying the ride ever since i've been here.you look at the flow of the last five years that you've been here. tajh boyd, sammy watkins, but then deshaun watson and artavis
5:05 am
the high powered offense keeps refurbishing and you've been the constant. so, talk about that process and how it's led to this point.yeah it all started with sammy, martavis and tajh that season with nuk. and every year we just keep getting better players. it's really just a standard that we set. and those guys just live up to it.when you saw oklahoma again, what were your first thoughts?i know for a fact it's not going to be like it was last year. but i'm really looking forward to competing. and it's going to be a really fun game.do you expect this to be a shootout? all the experts that look at this game see it as a shootout and maybe that's because the defense didn't play as well in the last
5:06 am
way you see this setting up? i'm not sure, i feel like our defense can hold up against anybody. some people can get close every now and then but i don't think it'll be a shootout i think both sides offense and defense can take care of business. i think it'll be a good game.upstate guy, you've got one crack here to bring back a national championship to the upstate, how much does that mean to you? do you think it means a little bit more to you since you're from south carolina?it definitely means a lot because not many people from south carolina have won the national championship. so it's a great thing that can go under my belt. in the history of my life.charone, good luck to you. thank you.charone peake, the clemson wide receiver... one of the many players from the upstate on this team hoping to bring a national title back to the upstate. our clemson coverage continues through the game on thursday night. tag out out 3 and don't forget to tune in tonight at 7:30 for "the orange bowl preview."aaron cheslock will have in-depth analysis and one-on-one interviews with the tigers in miami.we also have an entire section dedicated to clemson's quest for a national title on fox carolina-dot-com.they play at four o'clock on new year's eve. 3 3 meals on wheels is looking for you!what better way to kick-off your new years
