increase thursday night.rain arrives friday. some of it could start as light freezing rain in the mountains, but it would quickly turn to all rain mid-morning. expect the heaviest and most widespread rainfall between noon and 3 p.m. as it looks now. showers will push out through friday evening. we could receive around an inch of rainfall. saturday is looking pretty quiet with highs near normal for this time of year in the low 50s for the upstate and upper 40s in the mountains. the uncertainty comes in for saturday night and sunday.a few of the computer model forecast are showing a low developing along the gulf coast then pulling northeast. there is only one model, the gfs american model, that has precipitation for us. it is showing snow for sunday morning, with some mixed precipitation possible, then it would quickly end during the afternoon. accumulations would be minimal in this scenario. the other models either show the low going too far south or no low at all! i'm forecasting a 20% chance for snowown sunday in the upstate because the gfs model
