because of that its all hands on deck starting today. 3 3 3 3 "we have our line technicians and other team mates and crew mates who are getting ready. they're making sure they have the gear they need if they have to spend several nights in the field and making sure they have whatever they need to respond to whatever mother nature throws their way." 3 duke energy recommends having a plan if your power does go outthey say to have a battery operated radio or tv.food.. water...and try to have an alternate heat source or generator to keep warm. 3 3 we're expected to learn more information today about an officer involved shooting in hart county georgia.what we do know.. is deputies say they opened fire on a person armed with a machete. 3 deputies were called out to a domestic complaint on "old reed creek road" wednesday night. they say a man was shot by an officer after he confronted them with a machete. the man was taken to the hospital-- but has since been released an taken into custody.we talked with a neighbor who lives across the street. 3 3 3

officers and staff at g-h-s were all there to give deputy dave dempsey a well deserved send-off from the hospital on wednesday. dempsey was released 41-days after he was shot in the head while responding to a burglary call in taylor.he said he had already went through weeks of rehab and was ready to go home. deputy dempsey and his wife thanked those who helped him get to this point. point. 3 3 3 3 "i've worked hard to try and come to this day quick with help from the physical therapists" therapists""i appreciated everybody's prayers and visits it was great" great" 3 "im very joyful, my heart is happy and full and content we are ready to go home" home"doctors say dempsey does have a long road of outpatient rehab ahead.if you'd like to keep up with deputy dempsey's progress and help with his

as alfonzo boyd. firefighters say the fire happened at boyd's home on goldville road on wednesday. several fire departments responded to put out the flames. no word on what may have caused the fire. 3 anderson county rescue crews will be visiting neighborhoods this weekend to make sure your home is ready for the winter weather. weather.they say the colder temperatures mean a bigger fire risk.poorly working heaters are usually to blame. the red cross and fire fighters will being going door to door with smoke alarms in the abney mill and homeland park neighborhoods on saturday. 3 time for weather and traffic
