investigators.her husband originally told deputies he'd found his wife shot outside their home on reidville road. authorities now say they have evidence that he was the shooter. 3 domestic violence rates in south carolina are among the highest in the nation.now, there's a new group in anderson county that's hoping to make a change. change.state representative anne thayer and county councilman tom allen are part of a local anti-domestic violence task force.we're told they have been working with the sheriff's office and safe harbor.another member of the group is vickie fleming.her sister, rhonda, was shot and killed by her estranged husband back in 2003.now.. fleming is working to save others' lives. 3 3 3 "if i can reach one victim, save one life, then it's all worth it, because just to save one life would be enough, but the ultimate goal is to change this culture in our state." state."3 one of the group's goals is to get more domestic violence

old "israel rodrieguez" died at the hospital last night.the georgia state patrol says rodrieguez led troopers on a chase on interstate 75 wednesday afternoon. authorities say he got out of his truck and began firing. firing.trooper jacob fields was shot two times.. but he is expected to make a full recovery. 3 the widow of an illinois police officer who staged his own death is now facing charges. charges.melodie gliniewicz is charged with money laundering and misusing charitable funds. investigators believe she was involved in her husband's scheme to embezzle money from the youth group he ran. 3 fox lake police lieutenant joe gliniewicz was found shot to death on september first.. after telling dispatchers he was chasing three suspects. suspects.authorities later determined he'd killed himself, and staged the scene to look like a murder.after his death.. investigators found evidence that he'd stolen about 10-thousand dollars in donations over several years.his wife claims she didn't know anything about the scam. 3 wendy's fast food chain is telling customers to keep a close eye on their credit and debit cards.

3 this morning.. a nearly month- long standoff at an oregon wildlife refuge may be over. over.the leader of the protest is behind bars.. but he sent a message to his followers on wednesday. wednesday. 3 3 "please stand down. please stand down." down."that message came from "ammon bundy," one day after he and several others were arrested... and one member of his group was shot and killed. bundy and his followers took over the refuge earlier this month, to protest the federal government.wednesday night.. some of the protesters left. three of them were arrested. it's not clear how many are still inside. 3 we have new information in the upcoming trial for dylann roof. roof.on wednesday, a judge announced 600 charleston residents will be brought in to be considered for the jury.

28.roof is charged with killing these nine people at emanuel ame church last summer. prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty. 3 3 covering our counties--a suspected purse snatcher is now facing an attempted murder charge after crashing into a greenville county deputy. deputy.easley police say they were investigating a purse theft at the academy sports store.. when they started chasing a suspicious vehicle. greenville county deputies joined in the chase.at one point, we're told the suspect slammed on his brakes, causing a deputy to hit his car. investigators say the suspect ran away.. but was later caught.this morning, we're waiting to learn his name.. and find out how the deputy is doing, 3 the buncombe county sheriff's office is asking for help finding the gunman responsible for shooting two homes. homes.the shooting happened just before 1:30 monday morning at the intersection of pinebrook road and new stock road.investigators say bullets hit the sign at the entrance of the pinebrook farms subdivision.we're told people were home but thankfully no one was hurt.you're asked to
