3 we have some 3 school delays this morning. greenville county schools will be on a two hour delay...but the school says to check back in at 7 a-m for a possible update-- update--in the mountains...madison and mcdowell county schools will also be starting two hours late mitchell and yancey county schools will be on a three hour delay.remember for the latest updates - just head to fox carolina dot com. 3 3 this winter storm proved just how dangerous it can be when ice hits the roads. roads.sadly -- two people were killed in crashes on monday. monday. the first happened on 385 near villa road around 7:30.we're told an officer arrived to a crash on the interstate when another vehicle struck the cruiser and

chevrolet cadillac 3 3 news you need to know..icy roads are being blamed--for two overturned vehicles on highway- 25 in travelers rest near foot hills road. troopers say the three car accident happened on monday when one truck hit another after hitting a patch of ice and caused a car to overturn.no one was hurt. 3 on laurens road--there were two major crashes near the millenium gas station.one car flipped over after hitting ice. 3 other parts of the country are getting slammed with winter weather. mississippi and parts of florida got hit with rain, sleet, snow, and strong winds. more than a dozen homes were destroyed. 3 several people are recovering this morning after getting hurt during monday's winter weather. weather.local doctors in the area say they saw several patients--some with serious head injuries while others just had bruises on their bodies from falling on stairs and sidewalks. one doctor says the unexpected slips tend to cause more harm than when you brace yourself. 3 3 3 3 "a lot of people have been

3 roads are clearing up this morning after a very dangerous night. night.this morning we're waiting to learn more about two people killed in two separate wrecks. wrecks. the first happened on 385 near villa road around 7:30.police say an officer was helping out with a crash on the interstate.that's when another vehicle ran into the cruiser and the people who were in the original accident. we're working on learning the name of the person who was killed.another person and the officer were taken to the hospital but there's no word on their condition. 3 we're also working to learn the name of another person killed in a crash in greenville.the coroner says a woman was killed on verdae boulevard at old sulphur springs road around 9:30.we're told she ran head-on into a tow truck, was taken to the hospital, and died from her injuries.the tow truck driver was taken to the hospital but no word on injuries. 3 thankfully- with temperatures warming law enforcement officers are hoping for a much safer morning commute. commute.fox carolina's ashley minelli is live in t-r this morning... ashley- it's
