3 it was another night of harsh words and accusations for the republican candidates for president. president.marco rubio and ted cruz book took direct aim at donald trump -- to try and slow down his momentum ahead of super tuesday. 3 all five remaining candidates took the stage houston texas for their 10th debate. marco rubio questioned trump about his position on immigration, his privileged background and more. ted cruz questioned trump's credentials on being a conservative -- and accused him of being a liar. 3 3 3 "what we're seeing with donald is actually the pattern of washington - the pattern of washington dealmakers, which is they make promises, they break their word then when anyone calls them on it, they call you a liar." liar." 3 "if he hadn't inherited $200 million, you know where donald trump would be right now? selling watches in manhattan." manhattan."donald trump said during his closing statements that no one knows politicans better than he does. and when it comes to issues like trade, building up the military, taking care of veterans and replacing president obama's health care

when 12 states will head to the polls. polls.and here are the democratic candidates that will be on the ballot for south carolina's primary tomorrow. remember -- for everything you need to know -- head to fox-carolina-dot-com. 3 3 covering our counties:in oconee county --a home is destroyed -- and a family dog is **dead after a fire thursday afternoon. 3 this is a photo from the scene of wilderness road. firefighters say-it took 25-minutes to put out the fire--- even with ammunition going off inside the home. luckily-- no one was injured. the cause of the fire has been ruled accidental. 3 greenville police are issuing a warning about a phone scam involving a caller posing as an i-r-s agent. 3 police say they've gotten multiple reports where the victims say the callers demand payment for overdue taxes... and threaten to report or fine them if they don't comply. we're told the scammers try to get the victims to send cash through a prepaid debit card or wire transfer.police say the scammers use various phone numbers--some of which show up on caller i-d as government offices. offices.police say if you get one of these calls... do *not give out any information.they

head to fox-carolina-dot com for more closing and delays 3 in kansas -- four people are **dead.. including a gunman.. after a series of shootings in the south-central part of the state. 3 the sheriff's office says the four victims including the gunman were shot inside a manufactering plant-- authorties say police killed the suspect who was an employee. they say the man had been driving through at least two towns shooting a gun out the window. they say 14 people were also injured during the attack-- 10 of them are in critical condition. 3 the university of missouri board of curators has fired communications professor -- melissa click.click was captured on video arguing with a police officer and a student journalist during a protest last year. she had been suspended with pay from the school since january 27. click has the right to appeal the termination. 3 in iowa-- a bill to allow kids to handle handguns has passed the house floor. the bill states that children under 14 can handle pistols and revolves if supervised by their parents. the national

bill, but several iowa gun safety groups have been vocal in their opposition. the bill now goes to the state senate. 3 in virginia-- the national weather service says a tornado that ripped through parts of the state had estimated wind speeds up to *165 miles per hour.the e-f-3 twister on wednesday killed at least one man -- and damaged more than 100 homes.the weather service also confirmed that another tornado --- an e-f-1 -- reached speeds of 105 miles per hour. and in louisiana -- as many as 13 tornadoes hit.. some with winds of 140 miles per hour. 3

dollar lawsuit. 3 a domestic violence case against nfl quarterback johnny manziel is heading to a grand jury to determine whether he'll be indicted.the case stems from an incident between manziel and his ex-girlfriend on january 30. the cleveland browns have indicated they will release manziel next month. 3 surgeons in cleveland say they have performed the nations first uterus transplant. they say the new frontier aims to give women who don't have a womb a chance at pregnancy. the cleveland hospital said it wouldn't release any more details until a press conference next week. 3 doctors say the flu **vaccine is doing a better job this year -- compared to last year. 3 data shows the vaccine is a better match to the strains that are making people sick. doctors say last year -- the flu vaccine was less effective because the virus had "mutated."that led the c-d-c declaring an epidemic - but so far this year - its been a milder flu season. 3 we head to break with a live look at...greenville county.. pelham road.. we do have a few school closing and delays. check the bottom of your screen for the details. you're

3 the morning news on fox carolina--we're taking a live look at...usc-upstate 3 a family's night out almost cost a 90-year-old woman her life --but it was the heroic actions of some upstate firefighters she's thankful for. 3 frank pace said he was with family members-- eating at the saluda river grill in piedmont on monday-- when he looked over and saw his mother choking. pace said with the help of others they tried to do everything they could--- including the heimlich maneuver. a restaurant worker then called the fire department across the street. when they arrived pace's mother stopped breathing. and that's when they performed c-p-r. after several minutes they were able to resuscitate her.

3 the family of an upstate man killed in an officer involved shooting has filed a wrongful death suit against the greenville county's sheriff's office and sheriff steve loftis. 3 charles rosemond died last year in december --after an officer-involved shooting inside his home --while deputies were investigating a reported robbery. 3 this was the scene outside rosemond's apartment complex in taylors.deputies say they identifed themselves before forcing entry into the home. rosemond fired one shot hitting deputy dave dempsey in the head before deputies returned fire. the lawsuit filed on thursday --alleges the shooting resulted from excessive force... and that deputies hadn't been invited into the home. 3 deputy dempsey spent more than month in the hospital after suffering that gunshot to the head.he is at home but still has a long road to recovery. rosemond's family says they are praying for his health but say the lawsuit has nothing to him.attorneys for the greenville county sheriff's

the lawsuit within the next 30 days.sled says their investigation into that night is still active. 3 in the on-going legal battle surrounding the death of clemson student tucker hipps -- the sigma phi epsion fraternity has filed a response to a lawsuit from hipps' family. 3 hipps died in september of 2014 while on an early morning run with his fraternity brothers.that fraternity-- is denying any responsibility for tucker's death. death.the fraternity denies hipps' fall, injuries and death from the highway-93 bridge were caused by fraternity brothers' gross negligence and recklessness, and that any injuries or damages sustained were caused by hipps' own fault" while the fraternity did confirm tucker was elected pledge class president- they went on to deny dozens of other allegations that hipps' family has made.the wrongful death lawsuit seeks more than $25 million in damages against clemson university, the fraternity and some of its members.no criminal charges death. 3 3 in a little more than 24 hours- the polls will be open for the *first in the south*

taking a live look at...greenville county.. pelham road.we have a few schools closing and delays.. check the bottom of your screen 3 3 friends and family are honoring the life of a young greenville mother -- who lost her three year cancer battle. battle.lindsey motley was diagnosed with colon cancer while just 17 weeks pregnant with her daughter. she lost her fight to that cancer just a few days ago at the age of 29.family and friends remembered her life thursday at the cancer survivors park bridge in greenville.they lit candles and wrote letters to motley's two year old daughter. 3 3 "it's really special that we're here and we wanted to just be together and kind of grieve as a family and a community and show our love for lindsey.""if her story affects one person, and saves a life by early screening or detection and awareness, then she's done what she saught out to do." do."lindsey's family is asking that donations be made to the

services will be held this methodist church. 3 spartanburg county deputies need your help finding a man they say used cloned credit cards. cards.this is a look at the suspect but they don't know his name.they say he is tied to a string of thefts including one at the walgreen's in spartanburg. according to investigators -- the man bought more than 500- dollars with the bad card. card.he also used a fake credit card at red lobster in spartanburg and at a walgreen's in greenville county two weeks ago. the charges totaled more than 500-dollars. 3 if you have have information - you are asked to call crime stoppers at 1-888-crime-sc. 3 buncombe county activists are calling on asheville city lawmakers to protect the transgender community. charlotte city council passed a law earlier this week allowing people to choose public bathrooms that relate to their gender identity.now there's a push for the city of asheville to do the same.it's being led by the campaign for southern equality and equality north carolina.they want city council to pass an ordinance that will protect the l-g-b-t community from discrimination
