so than breast, colon, pancreatic cancer combined. one woman every eight minutes dies in the u.s. of lung cancer. >> no one knows that better than you, patti. to have lost two of your sisters. >> you know what happened, hoda, my sister barbara was diagnosed with cancer in the beginning of a year. before the year was over she died. >> had she been a smoker? >> my sisters were both smokers, but you don't get it because of smoking, you can get it secondhand or thirdhand smoking. can you get it from inhaling ribs when you cook them on the grill. my daughter-in-law's grandmother died at 80 from lung cancer in afghanistan baking that bread, inhaling all those fumes. there's all kinds of ways you can get lung cancer. the thing is we have no -- it's like nothing happening with lung cancer. nobody is speaking on it. i as a celebrity, it's a shame a celebrity has to speak about something important but i'm patti and i can get a few people to listen. close to my heart.
