official confirmed the strike. on twitter an activist group from the isis stronghold reported the death of jihadi john. his high profile victims including american journalists. steven's mother says she's waiting for news. if the got him, great. but it didn't bring my son back. peter cassie was another victim. kuwait born emwazi was a computer science graduate turned gang member seen here wearing a pittsburgh pirates cap. the team called that sickening. three hostages described him as sadistic sadistic, one of four british isis guards they called him beatles. an early recruit to isis, the jihadist group whose reach sears from syria to north africa.

house to someone he thought was an underage girl. nbc justice correspondent pete williams has the latest on this. good morning, pete. >> reporter: good morning. these charges were filed against a member of the secret service uniform division specifically an officer assigned to check the i.d.s of people with appointments to visit the white house. prosecutors say the officer worked in one of these booths on the white house grounds where visitors with appointments check into be admitted. investigators say the officer, 37-year-old lee robert moore of churchill, maryland, began sending sexually explicit sex messages in august to someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl, but who was actually an undercover officer for the delaware state police. according to court documents, in one message, moore said he was, quote, sitting at box office style booth checking i.d.s for entrance into a building. the documents say he also sent a sexually explicit photo of

our nbc station w thbsnbc was hit with a laser over brooklyn. a 20-year-old man caught on camera flashing the laser was arrested and charged with two counts of reckless endangerment. according to the faa, more than 20 aircraft was struck with lasers from the ground on wednesday night alone. and the number of attacks is growing. as of mid october, more than 5300 strikes it will rear,this year, compared to 3900 last year. we've seen these strikes at nearly every, but the most include los angeles, phoenix, houston, las vegas, dfw and san juan. and the vast majority of these suspects are young men in their teens or 20s, they simply don't realize what they're doing when they play around with a laser, that they're endangering everybody on an aircraft. by the way, several federal law enforcement sources describe all of these guys as simply knuckleheads. back to you. >> with potentially deadly serious consequences.

>> fake addresses listed, some empty warehouses. many not licensed by the >> so if i go there, that's what i'll see? >> right. >> reporter: places like really chinese, a restaurant listed on both cites, turns out the food restaurant. where health inspectors have found evidence of roaches and mice over the last two years. the restaurant manager tells wnbc he created the fake listing to increase business. seamless and grub hub have now agreed to verify the details restaurants provide and take action against inaccurate listings. a spokesperson for grub hub telling nbc news, we found this situation to be unique to new york, but all our sfraunt contracts require our partners to abide by local laws and regulations. if they are found to be in violation, they are removed from our platform. while delivery orders can be good for business, not every restaurant seems convinced. turns out well-known restaurants have also felt burned.
