'i had to plan a trip either once a month or twice a month and it would take me like nine hours to see him.' mike's wife joan and their two kids sandrah and melvin live in des moines.... 'for joan, having to travel to oklahoma to see mike was not easy, so having him here, closer to home, makes a world of difference.' 'it meant a i had to pull the kids out of school. i had to get out of work to do that. honestly it was just so hard for me and the kids and everybody involved and for mike too. he was missing us a lot. it wasn't always like this...mike wasike and and his wife joan came to america

'hes been unable to eat too, hes on a feeding tube, and hes

gemma botelho was a completely healthy four year old little girl. and now she's fighting for her life because of the flu. really thought it was the end. you thought she wasn't going to make it? father: no.on sunday, december 13th gemma had a slight fever. she wasn't extremely sick. at all. on monday, gemma felt better. she even danced in her school's christmas play. but then three days later. she was pale. she had cold hands, cold feet. ...how she was trying to say something wrong...she never spoke with me in that tone before, asking for help.her parents, lejla and alex took gemma to the emergency room just in the nick of time. she arrived - and went into cardiac arrest. the feeling of losing your child right in front of you. you thought you were going to
