first on 13... the death of a famous musician with ties to iowa could redefine a state law. in may 2010, the bassist of the band slipknot, paul gray, died of a drug overdose. last night, the iowa supreme court heard arguments in a special evening session reviewing the wrongful death case brought by gray's estate. at the time of his death, his wife, brenna gray was three months pregnant with their daughter. four years later, gray's estate, wife and daughter filed a lawsuit against gray's doctor -- daniel baldi claiming he over-prescribed pain medication to the rock star. a district judge dismissed the case saying iowa law says

has to file a wrongful death lawsuit and the rights of a child to sue even though he or she was not born at the time of a parent's death. urbandale police are searching for a teenager in connection with a police-involved shooting... the department has issued a material witness warrant for 17 year old kiara olson of des moines. police think she may have information about saturday morning's shooting at this holiday inn along merle hay road. it happened after a fight broke out in the lobby and 29 year ali yahia opened fire at three officers. they returned fire and killed him. the three officers are now on paid administrative leave which is standard procedure. university of iowa police say they have located a person of interest in connection to a case of sexual misconduct on campus. yesterday, the school sent out an alert that officers received a report of someone videotaping a female student while in the shower in burge hall. charges are pending at
