be tacked on to another bill so that lawmakers have the chance to pass it this session. a man wanted for attempted murder is now behind bars after being arrested inside a wal-mart. authorities had been looking for jeremy werenburg since sunday. investigators say he intentionally hit a man with a car. the victim is now in stable condition. sac county authorities were tipped off that werneburg was going to pick up a prescription at a walmart in fort dodge. officers went to pick him up but warneburg fought back. a viewer sent us video of the arrest. warneburg is now at the webster county jail where he faces additional charges for assault on a peace officer causing bodily injury and interference with official acts causing injury. a newton man charged with attempted murder is believed to have reached a plea agreement with prosecutors. 50 year old john britton faces three counts of attempted murder. police say he rammed his car into another car... carrying his estranged wife and their granddaughter last october. he's also accused of hitting their son.. no one was

court records show a plea hearing is set for next monday. one person was hurt after police say a car ran a stop light... and collided with an s-u-v. the crash happened around 11:15... in the 41-hundred block of 66th street... sergeant gary lang says a car ran through the light... while speeding.... hit the s-u-v and landed on its top... right next to this house. paramedics took the driver of the car to the hospital... the driver of the s-u-v should be ok. 52:44 the medics checked her out. there is not transport there. i believe she's just planning on going home. i'm sure she'll pretty sore like anyone would be from an accident but not going to the hospital at this point. 52:57 police are still trying to determine why the driver was speeding.... american airline passengers and three crew members are safe -- after making an emergency landing in waterloo. that plane was headed from sioux falls to chicago but was diverted to waterloo regional airport because of smoke in the cockpit,

something was wrong before leaving south dakota -- because of a loud sound before takeoff. they say they were in the air for 22 minutes. that's when they could smell something -- and the floor got really hot. after a few passengers started screaming -- flight attendants instructed passengers to review their emergency protocol -- and told them they were making an emergency landing. residents in oskaloosa will soon pay more for water and sewer services. chad coon with the oskaloosa water department says the increase is needed to pay for updates to the aging infrastructure. rather than borrow excessive amounts of funds for projects, coon says the department wants a large increase upfront. the city also approved the second of third ordinance readings to increase rates for the city's sewer system. the city manager says the average sewer customer's bill will go up about 6-50 a month if it passes. it will also address mandated system improvements from regulatory agencies like the epa and dnr. the third and final reading is set for

an iowa state basketball star's concern water quality in his hometown, turned into a big donation today. today hy-vee loaded 11 trucks with water as a gift to flint michigan. morris grew up in flint.. where lead pipes are contaminating the city's water. there are eleven trucks... for number the cyclone's jersey number, eleven. morris was there as the trucks took off... his interview with us last week about his concern for his hometown sparked the donation from hy-vee. 11:02:05 i'm honored and truly blessed young man to be able to do this for my hometown and they really need it and they're going to appreciate it like i appreciate it. morris says his mom will be there when the trucks arrive to flint tomorrow. he hope to visit after the basketball season is over. another beverage in a new container is appearing at a local convenience store. 39:55 someone made the joke that we sold more growlers than we did jelly

this is a growler station at the new kum and go store in johnston. growlers are glass bottles that customers can fill at the store. at this kum and go, eight beers are on tap. once the growlers are filled... they're sealed. the store also features a new "market" with made to order sandwiches and salads... general manager, sean bremer says waht sets them apart from the competitors, is seating. 40:31 eat in and eat outside out on the patio with heat. so down to about 40 degrees you can hit a button and you'd be comfortable to eat outside. 40:38 the store also offers free wi-fi. this is the first kum and go marketplace. the company say it took two years to develop the concept. a popular downtown salvage shop is expanding in the metro. west end architectural salvage is opening a second llation at the west glen shopping center in west des moines... it's expected to open up in the beginning of april. the space is smaller than the main storefront... so owners are calling it a boutique version. they say it won't have a coffee shop

"looking back, you're kind of in a fog and you can't believe what's happening." a cancer diagnosis caught a slater family off guard last year. the community has been rallying around the family...including strangers. channel 13's megan reuther shares their story. it is new at five. @20:38 "dunk it, henry, dunk it!" it was supposed to be a fun day for the johnsen family.... @31:12 "we both had the day off, kind of to celebrate his birthday." when they took their youngest son henry for his one year check up. @30:20 "it was his actual birthday. his 1st birthday, april 24th." instead, they learned life- changing news. @29:40 "during
