a western iowa police chief was the focus of protests this week... the protestors rallied outside the denison police department yesterday. they are outraged after an investigation found racist and pornographic pictures from police chief john emswiler on a city- owned computer. what he's got on his computer is not right and i think any reasonable person would agree. basically trying to get it out there saying he this is what's going on here this is the reason the things are they way they are and it needs to change." the city says police chief emswiler was disciplined.... but won't say what that discipline involved. the chief has also refused to comment. police say a pair of traffic violations led to a roll over crash in urbandale today... police say the driver of this car was speeding... and ran a stop sign along 66th street. the car slammed into an s-u-v... rolled into a nearby house... and finally came to rest on its top. the driver was hospitalized in unknown condition. the s-u-v driver was treated at the scene. police are still investigating the crash but say charges are likely.
