first on 13... we now know the names of the two men involved in a weekend shooting in the small town of eagle grove. one of those men faces attempt murder charges. it happened sunday night along this street in eagle grove. police say marcos castaneda drove up and shot hugo salinas... and then shot himself. medics rushed both men to a des moines

released castaneda and police took him into custody. salinas remains hospitalized. no word yet on his condition. a nurse's aid in knoxville is out of a job after police say she stole money from a nursing home. 16:39:15--19 'i think thats terrible to take advantage of the elderly, especially when theyre in your care.' police say 42-year-old wanda van-wike of prairie city stole cash and a credit card from a 80-year old female resident at the west ridge nursing and rehabilitation center. the victim's family contacted police when the resident noticed 300 dollars missing and unusual charges on her van-wike ended up and could've targeted more people in the facility. she now faces several charges, including ongoing criminal

urbandale police say charges will likely be filled in the case of a rollover crash. it all started when this silver car ran through a stop sign along 66th street near prairie avenue yesterday afternoon. the car slammed into an s-u-v, rolled into a nearby house, then came to a rest on its top. medics took the driver of the car to the hospital and treated the s-u-v's driver at the scene. police say they are still trying to figure out why the man was speeding through the stop sign. two meetings this morning could put fears of additional layoffs to rest for employees at a pioneer plant. in dow already lost their jobs at johnston's dupont- pioneer since december. the city's mayor is hoping to reverse that trend.
