the bakken oil pipeline could replace some of the jobs... on march ninth the iowa utilities board will decide if the project moves forward. the developer says it would create two-to-four thousand jobs during construction. the pipeline would travel through 17- counties, but all of the landowners have yet to sign off on the project. governor branstad says he understands landowners want to protect themselves... but during a taping of iowa press added, "'if it were my land, i would obviously want to make sure that it was done in the right way, but i wouldnt be one that says no, you cant put a pipeline through the property." the iowa department of health is reporting two more cases of the zika virus. that brings the total to three in the state. the cases all involve women who recently visited central.. and south americas and the caribbean. the virus is carried by by a type of mosquito that is not found in iowa. the c-d-c issued a travel

a 12-year-old girl managed to escape and was unharmed.. authorities are still investigating the deadly shootings. a small community in kansas came together to remember the three people killed and 14 others injured in thursday's shooting. dozens of people attended the candlelight vigil in hesston. they released balloons in honor of the victims. police say cedric ford went on a deadly shooting spree inside excel industries, a lawn equipment manufacturing plant. ford was killed in a gunfight with police. workers say the excel plant family is "tight-knit" and they will overcome this tragedy together.
