the refuse to start the game, and a finely did get under way. london olympic organizers were very quick to apologize to north korea for the mistake. we take you to seoul now to join our colleague. how was this been received? >> you would think it would make front-page news, perhaps on both sides of the frontier. as diplomatic spat go, this is not one you want to make, mixing up the flags for countries that are still technically at war with each other, but in both the media and north korea and south korea, it has not gotten much play at all. i was looking at north korean state media, and they have just put up the results of the match with columbia, with north korea one, but not a word about the flag issue. and maybe many people in north korea had not actually seen the game and have not have coverage of the flurry around it. they may be trying to keep the story under wraps.
7:05 am
in south korea they do not have that problem and not them that is the injured party so you expect them to make more, but it has been running as a very short spot -- short sports report. it has not made the front page of all. >> why do you think that is? take a difficult to say. it certainly took me surprise. ay.>> difficult to say pier y the north korean wife has just officially been introduced. everyone is pouring over who she is and what that means. it may also be that this is a story about north korea's wounded feelings and not about south korea. if it was south korea being put up to north korean flag, you can bet it would be in the front pages here. >> thank you for joining us. here in london the british prime minister is calling on business leaders from around the world to

invest in the u.k., the first of a series of events aimed at making money from the olympics. david cameron said the olympic legacy should also be about business. to go over the next two weeks the world's greatest athletes will compete right here. records will be broken, new champions will be crowned, history will be made, but i believe the legacy of these olympics can be about many more things, as well as great sport. for instance, the legacy should be about great business, too. at a time when it is a global business partnerships, new investments and start of ventures that will help get the world back to grow, nothing symbolizes the opportunity of partnership and collaboration more than the olympics. forging those partnerships and investments is why we're all here today. yes, of course, i want medals for britain and no more passionate supporters than me, but i know i have another job to do this summer, and a big part
7:07 am
of that is to get behind british business and do everything i can to help secure the trade and investment that will help get the world back to sustained global growth. >> for more on that, we're joined by our political correspondent in westminster. making hay while the sun shines in london and cannot, a better time. >> exactly. the context is the fact that yesterday we had really lousy figures for gdp. britain now and the longest double-dip recession since records began. it is very important for the prime minister to try to bbang drums for british businesses. he has been talking to key figures like eric schmidt and mario druggie. an important conference, and these conferences will go on for what the olympics. -- mario draghi.
7:08 am
>> are there any concerns here in britain about the cost of the olympics and how much money will from it? >> there has been concerned about whether it might have a negative impact on the economy. bear in mind many businesses around london have had to change their business plans to take into account the transport problems. the prime minister made the point this morning that the torch relay, which we of seen go right around britain has had a very positive reaction to it, and he thinks that the once the games begin, people will fall in behind them and there will not be too much complaining about the cost of the olympics. >> could not be a better day around london with the glorious sunshine. we can to the torch relay here at the moment. tell us where the torch is due to travel today and what sites
7:09 am
it is taking in and how many people are turning out to look. >> the torch has already been to cathedrals, shakespeare's theater. it will actually make its way down whitehall and stop on downing street were david cameron will greet it. and it will actually be carried by banky moon of the un and then go to buckingham palace where it will receive royal welcome, and at that point olympic hysteria will take off. to go all looking very forward to it. we're following the torch relay -- relates throughout the day. plenty more on the london olympics coming up in the program. for now, let's turn to the other names in international story.
