charged for a double murder in elgin. richland county deputies have arrested ryan padgett for the murder of two men on archer avenue back in december of 2014. on the night after christmas, deputies found tyrone richardson and mark cox dead. they'd both been shot repeatedly. padgett faces two counts of murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a the highway patrol is releasing more information as it investigates a motorcycle crash that killed a shaw air force base airman. 31-year-old staff sergeant dallas pauls died in the accident yesterday near the sumter gate on highway 76. pauls was a member of the 609th air communications squadron...and had just arrived at shaw last year. a suspected shooter could face attempted murder charges after a woman was shot multiple times in holly hill. the orangeburg county sheriff's office arrested a 27-year-old man today after someone reported the shooting on old state road.

53-year-old woman to the hospital after she was found with multiple wounds. investigators believe there was a domestic the suspect, who has not yet been identified, is expected to be charged tomorrow morning. governor nikki haley says progress is being made in south carolina's fight against domestic violence. today, haley announced she has signed three executive orders related to domestic violence. the first would give a task force which she set up more time to continue finding ways to fight the problem. another would direct cabinet agencies to help give more guidance to employers on how to handle employees who may be affected by abuse. a third order would require several cabinet agencies to adopt screening procedures to look for signs of domestic abuse. "no legislation is going to fix this. this had to be a cultural change. this had to be from the ground up. it had to be in every single county. which counties don't have shelters, which ones do. which counties

does a little more to it versus not." the governor set up the domestic violence task force a year ago. clemson head coach dabo swinney is speaking out tonight after his brother was arrested in florida for an ongoing domestic dispute. henry "tripp" swinney was arrested after a restraining order was filed against him for domestic violence. news outlets in panama city beach report swinney's estranged wife accuses him of harrassing her, stalking her online...and leaving threatening voicemails for her. swinney is charged with aggravated stalking. today, at clemson practice, swinney addressed his brother's situation. "you know, at the end there's consequences for your actions. you don't do the right things, you suffer the consequences. so it's no different than anybody else. i think the only sad thing is that it's a story because, and if i was joe shmoe from okamoe, you wouldn't be asking me that question.
