man at a columbia gas station last month. back on december 13th 20 year old jeremy davis was killed during an armed robbery gone wrong. the richland county sheriffs department says dna evidence played a huge roll in finding suspects. wiss mike desumma is live at the department now with the latest details. mike. just spoke with curtis wilson- he says that the rcsd press conference at 10am today will be in regards to the murder at the spinx gas station . apparently the dna lab played a significant role in the arrests in this murder and the sheriff is going to go into wanted for a deadly assault in

in jail on several charges including murder, armed robbery and kidnapping. deputies say they assaulted two other men who were sitting inside their vehicle at the spinx gas station on lee road 10 days a second victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. the road with michal to bring you clemson coverage. don't forget -- ahead of monday's game, tune in for our special -- "chasing a championship." a look back on the tigers' season and the team's efforts along the way to the title run. it airs monday night at 7- 30 right here on wis. this afternoon, u-s one near interstate 26 is back open after a crash that blocked traffic this morning. a tractor-trailer carrying scrap metal overturned as it was exiting i-26 west onto u-s 1 in west columbia. traffic in the northbound lanes of u.s. 1 going toward columbia were not affected. no word yet on any injuries from the crash. two centers set up by fema to help flood victimss in the midlands are closing today. richland county officials say the recovery centers in eastover and gadsden will shut their doors tonight. officials say people who were affected by october's floods can still get help at a number of other recovery centers... or by getting in touch with fema representatives. call the fema hotline for help at 1-800-621-fema.

3-year-old son accidentally shot and killed himself....a rock hill mother is charged in connection to his death. rock hill police say patricia carter turned herself in thursday on unlawful neglect of a child charges. she was released after posting a 15-thousand dollar bond. back in november....carter's son, savion barrow, found a gun and shot himself in the head at their home. police say the gun was owned legally....but carter left the loaded weapon near the bed where the toddler was lying down. new numbers released today from the bureau of labor statistics shows ththu-s added almost 3030 thousand jobs in the last month of 2015. for all of last year, american employers added more than two and a half million jobs. it was the second best year for job gains since 19-99. the report says americans saw their paychecks go up as well. wages grew 2-point-5 percent in december. that matched the gains in october, which were the best in six years. 800 million dollars...that's the number right now for this weekend's powerball

restaurant week south carolina is an eleven-day food fest taking place across the state january 7th-17th. more than 220 restaurants are participating statewide this year. in columbia, we have 55 restaurants participating. the numbers are up this year. restaurant week started in 2010. here's how it works: restaurants offer prix fixe menus, which includes multi-course meals at a value-added price. it gives diners the chance to check out new spots or old favorites for a great price. new this year, participating restaurants will be offering specials during both lunch and dinner. although not all restaurants will be offering lunch specials, all will be

"children, when they see them out, they won't look at them in a fearful way but look at them as someone who is there to help them, look at them as friends, somebody that they know they can trust and turn to rather than look at them in a negative light and somebody that they should fear and be afraid of or run away from. it was good for them to come and get comfortable with the kids and get down on their level." they've been participating in serving the community all week. including helping to fight
