the teams are getting set up in phoenix and ready to practice fans have also arrived early ready to take on the city. our michal higdon is live from the phoenix convention center with what has been set up for the influx of people. as part of the national championship experience they have turned the convention center into playoff fan central! you can see behind me all kinds of games and activities have been set up. yesterday was the first day fans were allowed in and they saw hundreds stopping by to take part. there were activities from kicking a football through a field goal to practicing your aim throwing the football into pockets. fans were also able to walk around and take it all in. lots of statues were set up for fans to take pictures with documenting their journey

national championship game along with their favorite team. and we were able to catch up with fans on both sides of the spectrum about how they're feeling before monday's big showdown. but quickly got the fire under control. they say the person was found in the back of the home --- where it looks like the fire started. "apparently the fire crews went in...as they began to extinguish the fire..and that's when the y found the body on this side." "going back to i think october of last year...i think this makes the third fatality that we've had..uhh i think this is actually the first fatality for this calander year." county offcials can't say at this point whether the victim is a male or a female. the county fire marshal's office is looking into what caused the fire. now to a developing story out of charleston. police are investigating a fire at the former home of michael slager. it happened at the 11- hundred block of yeamans hall road. officials say it was a small fire that left minor damage after a neighbor put it out.

prior to that fire, a suspicious person was seen leaving the area. slager no longer owns that home. the former north charleston police officer is charged with murder in the shooting death of walter scott. slager was released on bond earlier this week and is on house arrest. police in aiken need your help finding a man they say was involved in a shooting last month. deputies say glendale mclaurin junior and another person shot the victim while they were walking on crosland drive in aiken. the victim was taken to the hospital. no word on his condition. police say the second suspect has not yet been identified. if you have any information on where mclaurin junior may be call crimestoppers 888- crime-sc. donald trump draws a crowd and more protestors during his latest stop in the palmetto. we'll have highlights from last night's rally at winthrop university coming up next. most of your saturday will feature patchy drizzle and isolated light showers.
