talk economics and poverty became an opportunity for protesters to make a scene. will whitson shows us a surprise turn of events at saturday's kemp forum at the columbia metropolitan convention center. an otherwise civil discourse on poverty and economics interrupted in a flash- six different protests brought the kemp forum to a halt, all trying to interrupt senator marco rubio. "marco's trying to deport my family! six separate times during a panel featuring ohio governor john kasich, and florida senator marco rubio- immigration protesters stood up to protest the florida senator's policies on immigration. the race had to be cut. but enthusiasm was still high. organizers say the event is held in january to get kayakers together at a time of year they're normally not out enjoying their sport. thousands were in downtown columbia this morning for a historic run at making a difference in the fight against breast cancer. this was the 25th year of walk for life/race for life. more than seven thousand runners and walkers took off from finlay park. our own judi gatson helped kick morning, as the emcee. the walk/run is about raising money but also about honoring breast cancer survivors. "it makes you know that this community really supports you and loves you...to be out here in the cold and drizzle...and still out here supporting you..walking. and all the pink and the tutus...it's something you can't really describe but it's great." over the last 25 years, more than 8 million dollars has been raised to benefit patient services at palmetto health breast center. today's event raised more than
