we're following a developing story out of northwestern pakistan that's where gunmen stormed into a university, killing students and staff...and triggering an hours-long gun battle with police and army troops. n-b-c's kelly cobiella reports. :48-:58 the pakistani army says the gunbattle lasted for three hours this morning on the campus of a university in northwestern pakistan. a terrifying morning for students and staff in charsadda, that's about 20 miles from peshawar. the campus was just opening for the day when militants scaled the university walls on a very foggy morning, shooting security guards then going into classrooms and dorms. once student said he saw gunmen shooting both male and female students with automatic weapons. an assistant professor reportedly fired back, giving some of his students time to run. tributes are now going out to him on twitter. pakistani commandos say they have killed four militants. as for who was behind this, there's conflicting information.
