agenda for the upcoming year state of the state address. business is expected to be a big focus. haley was in spartanburg county on tuesday to celebrate one of the largest investments in state history. toray industries officially broke ground on its home in moore. the company will produce carbon fiber materials that can be used by companies like state leaders say the site is one of the essential building blocks in south carolina's manufacturing future-- a future that will also bring 500 jobs. governor haley: "this is one more time that south carolina has really put its name on the map for the fact that not only do we build things, we build them well. the investment in what is happening with "made in america" in south carolina is really something to be looked at." governor haley will deliver her state of the state address tonight at 7 o'clock from inside the state house. it's her 6th one. and we are carrying it live, right here on wis. representative mandy powers norrell will deliver the democratic

we're following a developing story out of northwestern pakistan that's where gunmen stormed into a university, killing students and staff...and triggering an hours-long gun battle with police and army troops. n-b-c's kelly cobiella reports. :48-:58 the pakistani army says the gunbattle lasted for three hours this morning on the campus of a university in northwestern pakistan. a terrifying morning for students and staff in charsadda, that's about 20 miles from peshawar. the campus was just opening for the day when militants scaled the university walls on a very foggy morning, shooting security guards then going into classrooms and dorms. once student said he saw gunmen shooting both male and female students with automatic weapons. an assistant professor reportedly fired back, giving some of his students time to run. tributes are now going out to him on twitter. pakistani commandos say they have killed four militants. as for who was behind this, there's conflicting information.

month, was released from the hospital. the greenville county sheriff's office says deputy dave dempsey is going to continue his recovery at home. deputy dempsey was injured when deputies were called to a possible robbery on december 10th. a man inside an apartment building fired a gun, hitting dempsey in the head. another deputy returned fire, killing the suspect. a man is awaiting his fate after pleading guilty to shooting a charlotte police officer two years ago. james lewis is in federal court

to be sentenced. prosecutors say in january of 2014 -- lewis shot charlotte- mecklenburg officer shane page when he attempted to serve a warrant at a home in fort mill. officer page has since recovered from his injuries. lewis was also hurt in a shootout when officers returned fire. he was wanted for robbing a fast food restaurant in pineville, north carolina. deputies in richland county hope surveillance footage could help them catch a murderer. they're trying to identify the driver of this dark sedan that was driving on longreen parkway just past journey church road. that's near where adrian silva was killed on january 3rd. investigatoto think whoever was in the sedan may have seen something. silva was riding his motorcycle on churchland road toward lee road when he was shot and then crashed. if you have any information on the sedan or anything else than can help investigators, call crimestoppers at 1-888- crime-sc. if you're a flood victim in richland county, officials want to hear from you. those officials are hosting a series of six feedback

and the first one was last night at st. andrews park. a company contracted by richland tech, is in the process of gathering detailed data from those flood victims to compile a list of projects that'll potentially lessen the effects of a future flood. last night, some of the victims told the engineers about repeat flood problems -- even after the october flood.
