shooter has been reported at naval medical center san diego. the center posted a notice on its facebook page saying in part "an active shooter has just been been reported in building #26 at naval medical center san diego. all occupants are advised to run, hide or fight." we are following this story and bring the latest as soon as we know. after just little more than a day, the retrial of jack parker and doug taylor has now moved to closing arguments. last summer, the u.s. appeals court threw out their gambling convictions. the case arose from the investigation into the 2012 murder of tammy parker and bryan capnerhurst. parker's son brett was convicted

state roads to good condition. tonight columbia mayor steve benjamin will lay out his vision for the capital city during his annual state of the city address. a big focus for benjamin will likely be october's devastating flooding....and what still needs to happen in the recovery process. the mayor's address is tonight at 6 in city hall. we'll be there and will have more for you tonight on wis. should a group of ordinary citizens have more power to get richland county out of its penny tax problems? a group like e at already exisis, but by its own admission, doesn't have a lot of say, privileges, or power. last night, the group met for the first time since the news broke that the penny tax is under investigation by the department of revenue. in the meeting, members approved having an annual independent audit of the program. "i thought the results were very good. i was very impressed with the tpac's efforts in moving forward so that we can get this audit issue behind us and to get some public credibility resumed." now, the watchdog group will meet in mid-february

they'd play moving forward. the palmetto state's unemployment numbers remain unchanged as we ended 20-15. the south carolina department of employment and workforor just released numbers for december. the unemployment rate stayed at 5-point-5 percent for the last month of 2015, the same as november. while that number stayed the same, the number of people working in the state actually went up by more than 10-thousand. nationally, the unemployment rate held steady at 5 percent in december. 100 new jobs are coming to lancaster county. a company that will make cushions and pillows for outdoor and indoor furniture is relocating to the area. 3-i products announced it is investing three million dollars to renovate an existing building near interstate 77. the plant is expected to fully open in the spring. jobs will be created over five years. coming up on the news at noon-- tax refund concerns.

on the run this reaves walked away from a pre-release center in rock hill just before 9 last night. he was last seen wearing his tan d-o-c uniform. reaves was serving an 8-year burglary sentence. if you've seen him...or have any information on where he could be, call l lice. investigators are using surveillance video from inside a columbia barbershop in hopes of finding a 2nd armed robbery suspect. a warning-- the video is graphic. on friday night, police say two armed men wearing masks stormed into the "next up barber and beauty shop" on fort jackson boulevard and demanded money. then officers say two of the victims pulled out guns of their own and started shooting. one robber was killed. the other got away. if you have any information on who he could be, call crimestoppers at 1-888- crime-sc.

"someone other than you files a tax refund using your number and a birth date and they can pretend to be you when filing for a refund. "but they don't need to know where you work, or where you live or any of those other details." and the sad thing is, identity theft resource center's eva velasquez says most tax payers have no idea their refund has been stolen, until they file their own return. "the thief would get in first, the legitimate would try to file their taxes and be told, oh that's already been filed." "now if the bad guys do get your tax refund, you will eventually get your money, but it will take some time." "we've heard from people who have had it resolved as early as three months, we've heard from some folks who it's

so what can you do to stop it?
