debris was flying, and boards. it was like a twister." no one was reported injured in the storm. the damage is estimated to cost a few thousand dollars. we're just several weeks away now from south carolina's democratic primary. hillary clinton wasn't in town today, but her husband was. our chad mills was at president bill clinton's rally for his wife at allen university. he took stage a little early tonight and spoke for about thirty minutes to the very supportive crowd. he said hillary clinton, if elected, would practice inclusive politics. "she is clearly the best qualified person to be president i have ever had the chance to vote for and ask you to vote for."

first visit to columbia since 2008 and his first trip to allen university since 2000. "we are all under an obligation to do all the good we can in all the ways we can to all the people we can for as long as we can. that's what hillary's done her whole life. that's why she ought to be president." and the 42nd president, naturally, had nothing but praise for his wife, hillary clinton, who's battling for the democratic nomination for president. clinton narrowly won the iowa caucus on monday but her chances in new hampshire are much slimmer with her challenger, senator bernie sanders, leading in the polls. political experts say that's why south carolina will be important to her. "one of the reasons you ought to vote for hillary is the next president's going to get between one and three appointments to the united states supreme court, and we can change a lot of that." president clinton touched on hillary's specific policies --

"those of us in higher income categories should pay to make college affordable to all americans. / and, this is one place where her plan is really good. people getting pell grants can use it all if they need to for basic living expenses." but he hit an emotional note too -- in calling for unity under a hillary clinton presidency. "the most important thing that has happened to heal america in a very long time was what happened when the parishioners of that church in charleston showed their true christian faith." i talked to a number of voters there at the rally -- many of them younger. they tell me, even though some of hillary clinton's policies sound very similar to what they've heard from senator sanders, they believe clinton is the better candidate to put those ideas into action. with just a little more than three weeks until the

carolina--thousands ofofvoters are making sure they've done their paperwork. the state election commission reports more than 39 thousand voters have taken steps to comply with the state's voter id law--getting valid picture id's. the law took hold in late 2012. critics complained some voters might have a hard time getting the right identification. but a spokesman for the commission says changes to the law have actually made it easier to vote---even when the voter does-not-have the required photo id. "regardless of whether you have a photo id or not, whether you forgot your photo id, whether you can't get a photo id, if you go to your polling place to vote, you're able to cast a ballot. that was not the case prior to photo id. prior to photo id if you didn't have a drivers license, dmv id or that paper non-voter voter registration card you didn't get started at the polling place." south carolina was the first state in the nation to require some sort of identification at the polls

state election officials also want voters to be aware of some important deadlines if you are voting absentee. officials say you can cast your ballot in person by showing up to the county elections office up until the day before each primary. for the republicans that deadline is 5 pm on friday, feburary 19th. for the democrats, it's at the same time on friday february 26th. if you're mailing in your ballot, you have until the tuesday before the primary to request your ballot. those voting republican have until 5 pm on uesday, february 16th. democratic voters again have until 5 pm on tuesday, february 23rd. all mail-in absentee ballots must be received by 7 pm on the day of the primary.

"it's not like we're out in the street dragging you in here if you don't want to come in here. there are certain foods i don't like. i don't frequent those restaurants. but that doesn't mean i want them to shut down because i don't like the stuff that they
