by the suspect, ibin patterson, to gentry's murder. investigators say the connection was made as part of a collaborative effort between multiple agencies. a man remains in jail this morning in connection to the murder of a midlands motorcyclist. last month, investigators found adrian silva, who they say was shot multiple times while riding his motorcycle on long green parkway in columbia. richland county deputies say vincent may is now charged with obstruction of justice in the case. may was given a 25 thousand dollar surety bond. he's also been ordered not to have contact with the victim's family and must wear a gps monitoring device. last night, the two remaining democrats running for president were in a one-on-one political face-off...just five days out from the new hampshire primary. the debate followed a new poll that found bernie sanders with a sizeable lead over hillary clinton in the state. steve handelsman has the highlights. two democrats, two strategies...

we all remember the horrific night last summer when we learned nine people were murdered during a bible study at mother r anuel ame church in charleston. two survivors -- felicia sanders and polly sheppard sat down with our billie jean shaw as they reflect on the heart- renching night of june 17th. it's a story you'll see only on 10. 232 days later- felecia sanders says it still feels like yesterday. "i go through june 17th all day, all night. i think about what i could've done differently, what could we have said differently y anything." it was on that night at mother emanuel- sanders, her 11-year-old granddaughter and polly sheppard witnessed nine murders. "77 shots. it actually sounded like a transformer blew, but then she yelled and

"after i heard the shots, i thought he would've shot and run out, i didn't know it would've kept on going." behind the trigger authorities say was 21- year-old dylann roof. motivated by hate and racism, prosecutors say roof was on a mission to start a race war. back to our top story this morning... richland deputies still looking for answers in a shooting that sent a male victim to the hospital. our michal higdon is live in hopkins this morning with the latest -- michal? richland county deputies were here late into the night gathering evidence and trying to figure out exactly what happened here at the green lakes subdivision. here's what we know so far. the richland county sheriff's department says it received a "shots fired" call around 8 o'clock last night at jadetree and auburn leaf drive. when deputies arrived they found a shooting victim who was the passenger

honda civic which had the back windshield shattered. all deputies are telling us right now is the victim's wounds were to his upper body. he was taken to a local hospital, where his condition is unknown for now. at one point last night, an investigator took a young man into his patrol for an interview. neighbors tell wis they believe that young man may have been the driver of the car -- but we're still looking to learn more on that. neighbors also say multiple gunshots were heard in the eastern portion of if you have information on this shooting -- call sure to bring that to you on air, online and on your phone with the wis mobile app. new this morning... an investigation of a deadly

charged with obstruction of justice in the case. may was given a 25 thousand dollar surety bond he's also been ordered not to have contact with the victim's family and must wear a gps monitoring device. this morning in the wis alert center... honda motor company says it's recalling 5.7 million cars worldwide in the latest round of recalls involving takata air bag inflators. the total includes 440- thousand vehicles in japan and another 2.2 million in the united states. the recall expansion includes more recent car models. federal officials say takata's inflators can explode with too much force, blowing apart a metal canister. at least 11 people have died worldwide from the problem and 139 have been injured. it's the largest automotive recall in american history. democratic presidential hopefuls hillary clinton and bernie sanders went head to head in a fiery debate broadcasted on msnbc.

back to our top story this morning... for answers in a shooting that sent a male victim to the hospital. our michal higdon is live in hopkins this morning with the latest -- michal? richland county deputies were here late into the night gathering evidence and trying to figure out exactly what happened here at the green lakes subdivision. here's what we know so far. the richland county sheriff's

"shots fired" call around 8 o'clock last night at jadetree and auburn leaf drive. when deputies arrived they found a shooting victim who was the passenger inside a white honda civic which had the back windshield shattered. all deputies are telling us right now is the victim's wounds were to his upper body. he was taken to a local hospital, where his condition is unknown for now. at one point last night, an investigator took a young man into his patrol for an interview. neighbors tell wis they believe that young man may have been the driver of the car -- but we're still looking to learn more on that. neighbors also say multiple gunshots were heard in the eastern portion of this neighborhood. but neighbors around the crime scene hadn't heard any, so it's possible the shooting may have happened elsewhere. people say this neighborhood is normally pretty quiet. f you have information on this shooting -- call crimestoppers at 1-888- crime-sc.
