the democratic primary this weekend i'm here at serendipity cafe in sumter, it was a very intimate event between sanders and his supporters today just a few in attendance at this last minute campaign event in the midlands as he heads into the first in the south democratic primary this weekend. of course he spoke on topics like jobs and education, raising the minimum wage and asking south carolinians to go out and vote. "we look around for other to people to make that.....that's why i'm running for president that's why i'm asking for your support" i spoke to a few supporters who made a long commute down to south carolina to spread their support with south carolinians... today, columbia police continue their search for suspects tied to saturday night's shooting at columbiana centre mall. parts of the mall were put on lockdown until all areas could be evacuated. investigators concluded it was an isolated shooting that began as a fist fight between two men who fired shots into the air. daniel morales owns a cell phone inside the mall. he says he was near that fight when it broke out and saw one of the men pull out a that's when he says people started running to get out of the way. "when we exited from the food court by the carousel and we turned around and looked back...there were so many people pushing out that one of the doors had actually come off the hinge and ya know so there was definitely ya know the danger of somebody getting trampled or pushed over or falling over for sure." investigators believe the shooting was isolated and began as a fist fight between two men in their early 20's who fired shots into the air. one was wearing an acid washed

lgbt community from discrimination at places like hotels and restaurants. opponents of the ordinance thought the battle was over last year, but advocates continued to fight to get city leaders to take another look. some of the proposed protections are reasons the measure failed last year by one vote. it's also still the hot button topic this time around. "every person in our community in charlotte deserves to have the same rights and advantages individuals that do happen to be sexual predators would be able to take advantage of this." north carolina governor pat mccrory emailed charlotte council members sunday warning that passing the measure could result in immediate state intervention and strain the relationship between charlotte and the state. stock prices are plunging for one company after reports linked some of its products to cancer-- at a new alarming rate.

percent before the market opened today. this, after a report from the cdc stating people exposed to certain types of the company's laminate flooring were three times more likely to get cancer than the agency previously predicted. the c-d-c says it previously miscalculated the risks. now...it estimates the risk of cancer at 6 to 30 cases per 100-thousand people. lumber liquidators has faced accusations that its flooring contains high levels of formaldehyde and violates air quality standards. tonight, dhec will hold a public meeting to hear your opinion on the richland sewer project. the project would offer an alternative to septic tanks in parts of lower richland county-- but some in the area are worried they may end up paying more. the meeting will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 at hopkins park. a formal hearing will immediately follow. richland school district one officials want your input as they build the budget for the next fiscal year.

airport. there are not therapy dogs at the airport all the time. right now, about 20 different pets fill various shifts right now. according to new research, drinking more coffee could help reduce liver damage caused by too much food and alcohol. the study looked at about 2-thousand patients with liver cirrhosis, which kills more than one million people each year. it showed drinking two more cups of coffee a day was linked to a 44-percent lower risk of the disease. that risk dropped even more among those who drank three or four cups of coffee. experts aren't sure which compounds in coffee protect the liver, but experts remind people that loading up on sugary lattes is not a good way to prevent cirrhosis. the news at noon will be right back. with a look at the historic
