in our top story at 11-- authorities in kansas say a workplace shooting tonight has left four people dead--including the gunman and up to 30 people injured. employees at a plant in the town of hesston described a scene of chaos as workers fled the building. authorities say there are at least four crime scenes...and that the area has been secured. the harvey county sheriff says an officer killed the gunman--who is identified as an employee there. one worker had blood on his hands after he tried to help a fellow worker who had been shot several times. "i had no idea what to do... we were hopping fences... everybody was running people were screaming people were crying. we just didn't know what to do. they started off saying fire and then we heard the gunshots and it wasn't a fire." "the first report that we have is at 12th at meridian in newton.... a man had been shot in the shoulder driving a truck. then there was another report at meridian and hesston road... another person shot in leg. then there was a report of a

tonight, president bill clinton 'got out the vote' for his wife at fairfield middle school in winnsboro. our chad mills was there. "here in winnsboro, president clinton laid out his case for his wife, hillary clinton. he told the crowd that hillary's spent a lifetime making things happen." many inside this small middle school gym never thought they'd see the day a president comes to town. but a hoarse president bill clinton capped off a long day of campaigning for his wife in winnsboro. early on, he focused on the republican frontrunner, donald trump. bill clinton "the person who just won the primary in south carolina says, basically, 'i'll make american great again.' hillary says, 'we never stopped being great.'" he told the standing- room-only crowd that hillary would, instead, "make america whole again" before touching on repairing relationships

bill clinton "we're sick of seeing movies on television news that look like they ought to be in a bad gangster film of people being shot on the street that have no business being shot." he didn't mention hillary's challenger, senator bernie sanders, by name. but contrasted the two candidates' different responses to the flint water crisis. bill clinton "he reflected the same values, but he had a different response. he said he was mortified by what happened and the governor should resign. / her immediate instinct was not to blame, although there was plenty of blame to go around, but to ask, 'what can i do?" finally, he touched on hillary's plan to make college more affordable free college for those who need it most, debt-free tuition, and refinancing student loans at lower rates a plan that solidified the support of several voters in the crowd. david belton "overall, i'm like a hillary fan." brittany mccants "one of the things that really made me lean towards bernie was

before the pivotal super tuesday vote.. jay gray - nbc news - houston. from here the candidates continue a whirl-wind tour of the super tuesday states.. a final push before the vote that could ultimately determine the g-o-p ticket.. i'm jay gray in houston .. now back to you. new dashcam video released by the department of public safety shows the arrest of a lexington county prosecutor accused of drunk driving. the video was taken monday night at the home of solicitor donnie myers. a highway patrol trooper asks myers to perform a number of field sobriety tests at his home, before ultimately taking him in handcuffs to his patrol car. "say it again?" "put your rag down." "go ahead and put your hands behind your back sir...right now i'm placing you

driving under the influence." "oh man." "let's go over here and have a seat in my car, okay? you say your drivers license is in your vehicle?" "it is." authorities believe myers lost control of his car while trying g make a left turn toward his house and crashed into a utility pole. a breath test revealed myers had a point oh nine blood alcohol level. myers contends he was run off the road. this arrest is the third alcohol-related charge for myers since 2005. investigators now know the name of the victim allegedly shot and killed by midlands businessman greg leon. the lexington county coroner says he was 28- year-old arturo santos. santos was found shot multiple times outside a vehicle near corley mill road last week. the coroner says the mexican consulate and a family member living in the area helped identify him. leon was arrested and charged with santos' death. according to warrants, leon

dispatchers he shot his wife's lover. investigators are working to get to the bottom of a freak accident that killed a worker in richland county today. crews were called to the utility group of south carolina on pineview drive after a report of a worker being crushed. officials confirm the worker was outside of the machine shop when he was killed. the richland county sheriff's department and the occupational safety and health administration are investigating the incident. president obama has made two nominations to serve on the bench of the u.s. district court for south carolina. one of those nominees is state supreme court justice donald beatty. he's served as an associate justice on supreme court since 2007. he's also a graduate of south carolina state university and usc. the other nominee is longtime spartanburg attorney donald coggins junior. coggins is currently a shareholder at the harrison, white, smith and coggins law firm.

grand jury. today, police in dallas, texas passed the case on to the courts to decide. manziel is currently with the cleveland browns after being drafted out of texas a and m. he must now answer to allegations he attacked his ex-girlfriend on january 30th. the nfl has not yet responded to the developments. manziel could face up to one year in jail and a 4 thousand dollar fine if charged and convicted. in the state house--senators say they want to put a plan for ethics reform at the top of their priority list. today, senators voted to give an ethics bill a priority spot for debate. it joins a bill requiring refugees to register with the state and groups that settle them in south carolina accept liability if

acts. those to bills would be next up for debate once the senate deals with the roads bill--which has been stalled by filibustering over the past few days. the ethics bill would revamp the state ethics commission to 12 members and allow it to investigate complaints against all public officials--including legislators and judges. a new outlet mall could open in cayce--but city leaders say they know little about the project. the mall would be at the corner of saxe gotha road and 12th street extention--next to i-77. the land, owned by scana and being sold by avant and otarre , has not yet been sold. a proposal is not even before the council yet, but the site plans are on the website of developer "eb development." "the fact that eb development actually has this on their website means they've probably gotten to the point in negotiations where they feel like it's time to start seeing if there's any interest for this development,

wis reached out to eb development; they declined to comment. a non-profit dedicated to raising up underserved children needs help recovering from october's flood. river's edge retreat hosts educational and spiritual camps for children in the summer - but the flood washed away many of the group's valuable teaching tools that includes things like books and art supplies, music equipment, laptops and ipads. pledge that "hate won't win." it's part of a national initiative started by the granddaughter of daniel simmons, who was one of the nine people killed in the emanuel ame church shooting. the movement aims to break down barriers of division and intolerance by celebrating acts of love. the school sold their latest edition of a literary magazine--with some of the profits going to mother emanuel church. "it was a student-led initiative. they decided to do it. they talked about it, researched it, signed the pledge, took the pledge, encouraged others, and just started doing great things for others they didn't even know. students can make major changes everyday. and i think it's evidence by the crowd we had tonight and the impact they've had on our very own community." our mary king and len kiese were both speakers at the event tonight. tonight's event also featured musician kelvin armstrong and the allen

x-rays show the b.b.'s are still inside brody--but ofificals say he is expected to make a full recovery. the first pitch for columbia's new minor league baseball team is seven weeks away now--and tomorrow you'll be able to get your hands on tickets. single game tickets for the columbia fireflies inaugural season are going on sale tomorrow morning at 9. fans will get to choose from seven different ticket zones at the new spirit communications park. the ballpark is currently under construction right off bull street. the season opener is april 14 against the greenville drive.

tonight against swansea. the tigers beat the vikings in penalty kicks. this tournament has come a long way since it starard in 1993 with just four teams. the amount of talent out here is unbelievable...i mean you've got kids out here who have signed with major colleges.... south carolina, clemson. we're talking about contenders in the sec, contenders in the acc. the thing is..even the teams that are out here and know realistically they don't have a chance at winning the thing, they're good teams. they're teams that you'll find in the rankings of their classifications and so they're games out here. you can find information on the
