vote preference among regisisred democrats. clinton -- looking to capitalize on that lead made some campaign stops in the palmetto state yesterday. in williamsburg county -- clinton held a rally in kingstree where she addressed president obama's legacy and took the opportunity to knock republican presidential candidates who want to repeal the affordable care act. she also talked about how elected leaders can better represent the community. "i think you should go into politics with the idea that you want to help people and you want to help people have a better life, a better future, more opportunity. so, we have a difference in philosophy here." clinton also made stops in north charleston, myrtle beach and florence yesterday. we'll have more on her final campaign rounds in the midlands ahead in our next half hour of sunrise. last night, president bill clinton 'got out the vote' for his wife at fairfield middle school in winnsboro.

"blood donation is such a unique way to make an impact in someone's life. all it takes is about 45 minutes to an hour of your time. and you're literally giving of yourself to another person the gift of life. and it's's gift you can give a

to a shooting rampage in rural kansas that left 4 dead, including the gunman. this is the scene overnight where authorities are now investigating the home of the reported gunmnm. it was a scene of chaos - after an employee who worked at excel industries opened fire on more than a dozen people killing 3 people while in route to the facility. the suspect was killed shortly after the first officer arrived on scene. 14 people were injured in the attacks, 5 of who

a deputy who was shot overnight in berkeley county. we've learned the search for the gunman has expanded into the north charleston area after a vehicle matching a description given to police was spotted in that area. this is now 2 seperate scenes as law enforcement continue to search for the person responsible for the shooting. the female deputy was on duty at the time when she shot shortly after midnight in goose creek. investigators tell us she's in a hospital in stable condition. state police are assisting in the investigation. we'll be keeping you updated as the investigation continues. you may remember - less than one year ago, a berkeley county deputy survived being shot in the head while on

ohio governor john kasich is facing some pressure among his rival candidates to suspend his campaign and drop out of the race-- but this time, he's flipping the script. kasich had received some flak from marco rubio's campaign to drop out of the race to make way for the other candidates. when asked about dropping out-- kasich stood his ground. he said rubio should drop out of the race if he doesn't win florida. kasich said people who think he should drop out are people in washington who he says he beat 25 years ago. south carolina senators say they want to put a plan for ethics reform at the top of their priority list. they voted to give an ethics bill a priority spot for debate. it joins a bill requiring refugees to register with the state and groups that settle them in south carolina accept liability if they commit any terrorist acts. the ethics bill would revamp the state ethics commission to 12 members and allow it to investigate complaints against all public officials-- including legislators and judges.
