left the child with her boyfriend richard bowman. since their arrests, both bowman and mcardle faced additional charges after misconduct while in the newberry county detention center. following her big victory in this weekend's south carolina democratic primary -- new poll numbers show hillary clinton is far ahead of challenger bernie sanders in 3 key states voting on super tuesday. according to an nbc news-wall street journal-marist poll released sunday -- clinton is leading by about two- to-one margins in texas, georgia and tennessee. those 3 are among 11 states democratic presidential races tomorrow. clinton made several stops in tennessee sunday, holding a meet and greet in nashville and a rally where she talked about her goal as president to bring the nation together. "what we need is to be whole, we need to be whole, where all of us have a place, where all of us feel like we are in this together. that is what i want to do in this campaign and that is what

people lit candles and held a moment of silence to remember officer ashley guindon. she was working her first field shift when she was killed. an active duty army staff ssgeant has been arrested on murder charges in the case. authorities say ronald hamilton opened fire on officers who were responding to that domestic dispute. guindon was killed. 2 other officers were hurt. hamilton eventually surrendered to police. inside the home, authorities found hamilton's wife dead. officer guindon is being remembered for her love of serving others. "we were struck by her passion to do this job. obviously, she had separated during her first field training phase for a variety of personal reasons, many of which she didn't share with us. but she did share with us when we rehired her... that she felt like she still wanted to do this job... she couldn't get it out of her blood. it was something

herself into, which is exactly why she reapplied and sought to be rehired. she clearly had a passion to serve others in a way that went beyond herself." officer guindon graduated with a bachelor's degree in aeronautics and served in the marine corps... before joining the police force. the man accused of shooting an ohio pastor during sunday service is expected in court later today. police say daniel schooler gunned down his older brother, reverend william schooler. schooler was arrested at the dayton church and is now facing murder charges. witnesses say they were in service when they saw schooler leave the sanctuary and walk to the back of the church. that's when congregants say they heard gunfire. "he went to sit down during prayer, and he sat there for a few minutes and then after prayer, he got up and went back in our pastor's office and then i heard two shots. wasn't a minute and i heard two shots. and so i just got everybody out of the church. and we just kept hearing shooting and shooting.

the dayton daily news says the younger schooler had a history of violence. the paper also quotes court documents suggesting he may be mentally ill. an autopsy on the 70-year old pastor is scheduled for today. the national transportation safety board is investigating a plane crash in texas that killed two adults and two children. the crash happened sunday when the four- seater aircraft crashed into the woods near the navasota airport. authorities have not yet released the identities of those who died on board the plane. inside the state house... a proposal to allow school employees to carry guns on campus is not going anywhere... for now. a house subcommittee has voted to set aside the bill. if passed, employees would have been able to carry guns after two weeks of training. educators previously asked legislators not to go forward until a state task force issues its school safety report. coming up...it's been another record setting year for gamecock women's basketball. and on senior day sunday, the

e americans consumes sugary drinks at least once a day. that's according to a new survey from the centers for disease control. younger adults were most t kely to drink these beverages ... which contain nearly eight teaspoons of sugar per serving. the study found men, african-americans, unemployed adults and people with less education also consumed more sugared sodas and juices. there are a number of different cooking oils available at most supermarkets today and the options can be overwhelming. haley hernandez spoke with a

"you never want to cook with flaxseed oil, in fact, you actually want to keep it refrigerated to prevent it from being oxidized" she says oxidized oils can cause stroke and high cholesterol... can help richland county investigators find who's responsible for a stabbing over the weekend. around 7-30 sunday morning, deputies were called out to the 19- hundred block of heyward brockington road in columbia. a man had reportedly been stabbed in the upper body. we are being told he is in the hoital. we are working to find out his condition. an upstate boy is now safe at home after spending the night in the woods when he got separated from his boy scout troop over the weekend. 12-year old john quay was found safe around noon, sunday after an extensive search. his boy scout troop was hiking in jones gap state park in greenville county when he somehow got separated from his hiking group saturday afternoon. using his survival skills, officials say quay used leaves to cover up in freezing overnight temperatures. scout leaders say they use a buddy system when on hiking trips. "i am amazed that they lost him! it had to be unusual circumstances because usually we have an adult, at least one adult in the front of the hike, and

accused of killing two people, including officer ashley guindon, who was working her first day as an officer. hamilton reportedly opened fire on prince william county police officers in virginia as they approached a home for a domestic dispute call. two other officers were injured, and rookie officer guindon died from her injuries. hamilton faces multiple counts of murder. ohio police are investigating a possible motive after a pastor was found shot dead inside his church during a service sunday morning. william schooler had just walked back to the pulpit inside zion baptist church when the shooter reportedly got out of a pew and followed him. witnesses say they heard a couple of shots fired while the choir was singing-- and chaos quickly erupted when everyone took off running. more than 20 people were inside the church at the time. the shooter is believed to be schooler's brother. michigan's governor rick snyder's aides may have known something was wrong with flint's water as far back as october 2014. emails show the aides discussed switching the water supply

lake huron. the emails are dated six months after flint started using its own river for drinking water. researchers later found elevated levels of lead that can cause neurological problems to children. snyder's spokesman says there were preliminary concerns before aides knew about the lead problem. it's looking like the third time was not the charm for the private space company space x. the company called off the launch of its falcon nine rocket last night-- after two similar cancellations in recent days. space x says on its website the rocket and its payload are fine, but it's not saying why the launch was scrubbed again. one of the previous launches was canceled because of problems with the propellant. the rocket carries a satellite that would bring internet and phone access to millions of people in asia. a member of the famed "seal team six" will receive the medal of honor today. senior chief edward byers, juinor was part of a hostage rescue mission operation in afghanistan back in december 2012. byers is from ohio and has already earned two purple hearts for being wounded

kelvin washington did not have much to say to reporters as he walked out of the alvin s. glenn detention center, sunday. highway patrol troopers believe washington was driving drunk saturday night when he rear-ended another vehicle on bluff road in hopkins. troopers say that other vehicle ended up crashing into a utility pole and the two men inside are still in the hospital -- one, in intensive care. a judge set washington's bond at 25-thousand dollars and ordered him not to contact either victim. torrey rush, the chairman of richland county council released a statement that reads in part quote: "i want to ensure the public that this body and its individual members take this very seriously. our collective responsibility to the public is compromised when such an event like this occurs... we will continue to monitor this situation..." kelvin washington was also arrested last month when a department of revenue investigation found he had been delinquent on his taxes for several years. washington pleaded guilty two weeks ago to three counts of 'failure to file a tax return'. a proposal to allow school employees to carry guns on campus is not going anywhere for now. a house subcommittee has voted to set aside the bill.

and a police officer in virginia is expected in court today. ronald hamilton -- a staff sergeant assigned to the pentagon -- is being held without bond after police say he opened fire on officers who were responding to a domestic dispute call saturday two officers were injured. officer ashley guindon was killed. it was apparently her first day on patrol. police say hamilton killed his wife before officers arrived. the victims of a shooting spree in kansas were remembered sunday night during a prayer service. three people were killed and 14-others wounded during thursday's rampage in two towns. a candle was lit for each of the victims -- plus one for the suspected shooter cedric ford, who died in a shootout with

most of the victims were shot where ford worked. investigators believe a restraining ford received that day from a former girlfriend may have been what set him off. according to recently released emails, michigan governor rick snyder's aides knew something was wrong with flint's water as far back as october 2014. in the emails, the aides discussed switching the water supply back from the flint river to lake huron, six months after the switch happened. researchers later found elevated levels of lead. snyder's spokesman says those e-mails referenced other preliminary concerns, before the aides knew specifically about the lead problem. space x has scrubbed the launch of it's falcon nine rocket for the third time in recent days. the latest attempt was called off last night. space x says on its website the rocket and its payload are fine, but it's not saying why the launch one of the previous launches was canceled because of problems with the propellant. the rocket carries a satellite that would bring internet and phone access to millions of people in asia.

this weekend's south carolina democratic primary -- new poll numbers show hillary clinton is far ahead of challenger bernie sanders in 3 key states voting on super tuesday. according to an nbc news-wall street journal-marist poll released sunday -- clinton is leading by about two- to-one margins in texas, georgia and tennessee. those 3 are among 11 states holding their democratic presidential races tomorrow. clinton made several stops in tennessee sunday, holding a meet and greet in nashville and a rally where she talked about her goal as president to bring the nation together. "what we need is to be whole, we need to be whole, where all of us have a place, where all of us feel like we are in this together. that is what i want to do in this campaign and that is what i want to do as your president." clinton's campaign is also looking ahead to facing donald trump as a republican challenger should he win nomination. republican challenger should he win nomination. allies of the former secretary of state, unaffiliated strategists and the national party are reviewing court filings, as well as

this morning we are getting our first glimpse of a university of otto frederick warmbier confessed to a trying to steal a banner or sign containing a political slogan from the walls of his hotel based in north korea in january. in the video hes seen crying and asking for forgiveness... the 21 year old gave a very emotional plea this morning at a news conference. "i wish that the united states administration never manipulated people like myself in the future to commit crimes against foreign countries. i entirely beg you and the government of dpr korea for your forgiveness." north korea claims he committed a crime at the hands of the us government this comes at a time that the un is imposing new santions on north korea after their h-bomb test in january. some have accused them of

his boy scout troop was hiking in jones gap state park in greenville county when he somehow got separated from his hiking group saturday afternoon. using his survival skills, officials say quay used leaves to cover up in freezing overnight temperatures. scout leaders say they use a buddy system when on hiking trips. the trial of an upstate couple charged in the death of a toddler is expected to start today. theia mcardle and richard bowman are both facing homicide by child abuse charges after the death of mcardle's son, gabriel. mcardle told investigators she was working as an escort the night of her son's death in newberry county, and that she left the child with her boyfriend richard bowman. newberry investigators say the three-year-old died
