election recount in wisconsin -- and the deadlines are tight. political reporter theo keith is back from madison -- theo, when's this going to start? the wisconsin elections commission is telling its 72 county clerks to prepare to start re-counting on thursday. that assumes green party candidate jill stein forks over an estimated 1 point 1 million dollars -- the full cost of the recount -- by 4:30 p-m tomorrow. of now, president-elect donald trump leads hillary clinton by 22-thousand votes in wisconsin. stein got barely 1 percent of the vote. the clerks and the state are up against a december 13th deadline to have the results of the recount certified, and elections officials say that will be a challenge in some counties. some clerks say their staff will work nights and weekends to get this done. if a recount contest is not

law provides that congress is not required to honor the slate of electors chosen to represent that state so, how's the recount going to get done? today, the commission rejected stein's request that clerks hand-count all of the ballots. as of now, clerks will be able to feed ballots through voting machines -- we're told it's faster. but a spokesman for the green party says stein will sue in dane county, hoping a judge will force clerks to count by hand. that lawsuit is due within theo filed for a recount in pennsylvania and says she'll file in michigan later this week. governor scott walker tweeting out today--- the state made it easy to vote, and hard to cheat. he adds that supporters of this recount are against voter i-d initiatives. president-elect donald trump hosts milwaukee county sheriff david clarke today at trump tower in new york. sheriff clarke's name had been bounced around for a possible spot in the president-elect's

handgun. he assaulted the victim and then left the scene. the suspect was spotted by several surveillance cameras in the area. if you recognize this man, you're asked to call milwaukee police. a racine man is charged with a crime that has left a community in mourning. a father and his nine year old daughter were killed in a crash -- allegedly caused by a drunk driver. fox6's myra sanchick is live at the racine county courthouse. levi ruohonen is accused of slamming car making a turn in caledonia and doing it at a high rate of speed. inside the victiim's car: 39 year old kevin dalley was killed, as was his nine year old daughter emily. a six year old in the car survived. the criminal complaint says ruchonen smelled of intoxicants and could not manage to get his drivers license out of his

and mitchell street. it happened last tuesday night around eight o-clock. the suspects walked in -- one stole money from the register. the other two took cash and a cell phone from a customer. if you recognize any of these suspects, you are asked to call police. the other armed robbery happened at roman's foods near 18th and kerney place. it happened around 2-40 in the afternoon on november 17th. two men walked into the store and robbed two workers at gunpoint -- stealing money from the register. a third suspect drove a get-away car. again -- call police if you recognize any suspects. the dakota access pipeline protests making their way to washington in a big way. hundreds of protesters packed the washington mall yesterday -- protesting the construction of the pipeline. activists fighting the project in north dakota say the pipeline threatens cultural sites of the standing rock sioux tribe. they feel, along with their drinking water it also disturbs cultural sites on the nearby reservation. protesters in north dakota were told they have until december fifth to leave.
