bret lemoine is live in madison tonight with more... the dane county judge agreed that the best way to determine if voteing machines were tampered with... is to do a hand-recount. but she says she has to follow the law votes in wisconsin will be recounted... but a mandatory hand-recount that petitioners wanted... will not be enforced. "i just do not find clear and convincing evidence and that is my decision. i'm going to allow the 19 counties to do the recall the way that they intended. again, i think everyone would strongly encourage them

warning from the judge that it could be a late night... and it was! attorneys representing former green party presidential candidate jill stein, as well as a representative for former democratic presidential candidate hillary clinton, called three witnesses to make their case for a hand-recount of all votes. 'not aware of malfunctions that impacted official result from election night.' the through line in the petitioners testimony was a hand recount is the only way to ensure voting machines were not tampered with. an elections security expert optical scanners used in wisconsin elections are vulnerable to hacks... but presented no evidence that votes were tampered with. he speculated malware could have been added to scanners without anyone knowing. the department of justice called only one witness - a representative from the wisconsin election commission, who testified all equipment used in novembers election has been field tested and inspected. steins attorneys say... tuesdays ruling wont stop their efforts for recounts in michigan and

county clerks on the line as possible, and we'll be there. no doubt the clerks will have questions about what the judge's ruling tonight means for them. there were about 20 clerks who wanted to use voting machines to recount at least some of their ballots. that includes milwaukee county, where the clerk cast doubt yesterday on his ability to finish by the december 12th deadline if he had to hand-count everything. they will get to use machines if they wish. the judge said she wasn't convinced by they produced theories but no evidence that wisconsin's voting machines were tampered with during the election. attorney general brad schimel says he's pleased with the judge's decision. after tomorrow's webinar, the recount is scheduled to start across the state at 9 a-m on thursday. we're keeping a close eye on developments related to this presidential recount... click the "politics" tab when you

news app -- for the latest information. a mother of three... now brain dead after her family says she was struck by a hit and run driver the night before thanksgiving. brittany shannon is live from the west milwaukee police department with this heartbreaking story. peggy cetranowski has been called a beautiful person. giving, caring and kind. and now her family wants justice after the driver that hit her...is on the run. a late night walk in her new neighborhood, would be peggy cetnarowki's last. family members say the mother of three was struck by a hit and run driver at the intersection of beloit and mitchell last wednesday. police say she was in the crosswalk. "there was another motorist that came along saw the individual and came back around to check on her and then we got the 911 calls" according to a caring bridge web post, cetnarowski suffered a broken arm, cracked and broken

"our detectives are working this case vigorously and were looking at all possible leads from the outside working our way in" looking forward saying they hope to quote "allow her to give one last time and turn this tragedy into a possibility to save a life" police tell me the family has offered up a 25-hundred dollar reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect. anyone with information should call the west milwaukee police department. brittany shannon, fox 6 news.

shooting on the north side. the victim -- ended up outside vincent high school. police tell us the 19-year-old victim was shot in the arm a short distance away. he drove to the school to the school to pick someone up. police say this might have stemmed from a minor car accident . no one else was injured. no arrests have been made. new berlin police have identified the married couple found shot and killed last week... 76-year-old william krueger and 71- year-old karen krueger both home on hickory trail. investigators say it appears this incident is related to health issues -- and is not a case of domestic violence -- adding they're not looking for any suspects. police wouldn't elaborate on the specific details of the case. across the country - demonstrators walk off the job today. it's all part of the "fight for fifteen" movement locally -- we had three gatherings in the milwaukee area. this is one in west milwaukee. it ended in arrests.

community leaders gathered outside the mcdonalds on miller park way -- to demand a 15-dollar minimum wage. we spoke to one woman who was arrested for blocking traffic. she says people are hurting -- and it's time for a change. it was emotional to me. i just felt like a lot of people wanted their point to get across. it was a lot of people there that were passionate about what we were doing. it was just a lot of emotion. it was real." least ten people were arrested. we've reached out to police for an official count. an update to a story we told you last night. a cemetery being targeted by criminals -- is adding some extra security. officials with the valhalla cemetery on milwaukee's northwest side tell us -- security cameras and a guard will soon be put in place. this follows two recent armed carjackings at the cemetery near 91st and silver spring. police are still investigating
