11. we start at eleven with breaking news.... milwaukee police are investigating the death of a child on the city's south side. it happened yesterday near 19th officials say a seven-year-old child was brought to children's hospital with multiple injuries. the child later died. police say a 44-year-old woman and a 47-year-old woman have been arrested. an autopsy is scheduled for later today. one person is in custody -- after shots are fired in downtown milwaukee. it happened around 9-45 this morning near 9th and state street. police say nobody was hit and there were no injuries. again -- the person who fired the shots is in custody. officials say the situation is

released at this time. stick with fox6 news -- on-air and online -- for any updates. and breaking news out of charlotte north carolina. the police officer who fatally shot keith lamont scott" ...will not be charged. the district attorney says officer brentley vinson acted lawfully in the shooting. 43-year old scott was shot and killed by police outside an apartment complex on september 20th. officers say scott exited his vehicle while carrying a handgun. the d-a says "all the c evidence" leads to the conclusion scott was armed. his d-n-a was on the grip of a gun found at the scene, the d-a urged the community to remain calm in the wake of the decision. a dane county judge decides wisconsin county clerks will not have to do a "hand recount" of the november presidential election instead...clerks can choose to use ballot machines. our deandra corinthios has more from the zeidler building. the judge encouraged the clerks

determine whether voting machines were tampered with. but said ultimately it is up to the clerks to decide how they'll proceed ...either by hand...or by machine. the request for a hand recount came from green party candidate jill stein. at last night's hearing in madison...her attorneys...as well as a representative for former democratic presidential candidate hillary clinton... called three witnesses to make their case the through line in their testimony was a hand recount is the only way to ensure voting machine an elections security expert from m-i-t testified that optical scanners used in wisconsin elections are vulnerable to hacks... but presented no evidence that votes were tampered with. he speculated malware could have been added to scanners without anyone knowing. a statistical expert told the court there were some anomalies with state voting results - particularly when looking at results taken from municipalities that process votes with optical scanners. "the fact that they want to do a recount using machines is their discretion, their decision. i may disagree......... but i cant put myself in their position." about 20 county clerks have said they would use voting machines to recount at least some ballots...including the clerk in milwaukee

plan for her. thankfully the birth mother chose adoption, but she had one request, she wanted the child to be raised in a gay couples home. they are an awesome couple, they have so much love to give and they are very fun they care deeply about children about each other about their community we did not have hesitations about placing a child with them. it was a really emotional experience for everyone i dont thnk room. i was just amazed on how supportive everyone was both in the hospital and anyone we come across in texas and about a week later we were able to take reese home with us. and as emotional having a new baby is for biological parents, the feelings are equally as strong for adopted parents, but in different ways. going to the court system and having them say yes you guys can do this or when we
