in san jose. this comes after plice recaptured laron campbell tuesday night. chavez... campbell... and two other prisoners escaped by cutting through bars and rappelling on a bedsheet rope last week. the other two were quickly caught. across america - protests are now underway in charlotte... after prosecutors say the officer who fatally shot keith lamont scott will not be charged. 43-year old scott was shot and killed by officer brentley vinson outside an apartment complex on september officers say scott exited his vehicle while carrying a handgun. the d-a says "all the credible evidence" leads to the conclusion scott was armed. his d-n-a was on the grip of a gun found at the scene, the death toll rises in gatlinburg, tennessee... after a dozen wildfires ripped through the resort town. police now confirming 7 deaths... as search and rescue teams continue to search burned neighborhoods for others who are missing. yesterday morning -- storms dropped some much-needed

show milwaukee county is on pace for its deadliest year ever for opioid deaths. the milwaukee county medical examiner says 217 people have died from opioid deaths so far this year, with 55 additional deaths pending toxicology. that likely means last year's record of 231 deaths will be shattered. alderman michael murphy says efforts to slow the epidemic have failed. today, he will introduce legislation to create a city-county heroin and opioid task force. the task force is going to bring together law enforcement, me providers and addicts themselves to give us a better perspective about how we can change this course. the task force is expected to go up for a vote today. a 19-year-old faces federal charges for robbing a mailman delivering two boxes on milwaukee's east side... daryl walter also faces charges for assaulting a government employee. a criminal complaint states he
