traffic map = major delays yellow on traffic map = some delays green on traffic map = no delays the start of the presidential recount in wisconsin... and county clerks... election officials and volunteers... say they're prepared. we have team coverage - with angelica duria tracking allegations that the recount is illegal. but first... let's start with deandra corinthios... who's live on milwaukee's south side...from the city's election commission warehouse. all of the ballots for milwaukee county have been moved to this location... they're under lock and key...and

wednesday... ballots were transported from the milwaukee county courthouse to the election commission warehouse. the recount effort in milwaukee county involves more than 440-thousand ballots all together. the final decision will be made this morning by the board of canvassers, the county election commission recommends the recount be done by machine. 14 counties will use optical scanners for the recount...including waukesha and sheboygan counties 48 counties will recount the vote by hand... including ozaukee, 10 will use both - like walworth county. in our area, costs range from 36- thousand in sheboygan county... to more than a half million in milwaukee county. for milwaukee county... were not anticipating there will be a wide variance in the vote totals. i dont think were going to see a change in the outcome of the winner of the election in wisconsin.

be certified and completed by december 12th. former green party candidate jill stein's campaign will foot the bill. reporting live in milwaukee dc fox6 news. a wisconsin conservative group claims the recount is illegal. angelica's following this in the newsroom... and angelica... the dispute's over whether something could have occured? the president of the wisconsin institute for law and liberty says the stein campaign must claim there is a reason a mistake did occur... not about whether a mistake could have occurred. 'if there is any real world consequence of it is it might put at risk our ability to have our votes counted in the electoral college because the recount wont get done on time... i hope it doesnt happen.' rick esenburg says if this recount interferes with the casting of wisconsin's electoral votes ---the group plans to get involved.

breaking news --- the suspected gunman who fatally shot a police officer has been shot and killed by police in tacoma, washington. this after a nearly 12 hour standoff overnight. two children were then rescued from the home unharmed. investigators say multiple weapons have been found inside the house. the officer was responding to a domestic violence call when he was shot multiple times.... the fallen officer has not been identified but was a 17-year veteran of the tacoma police force.. crash and one man's arrest overnight. officers were called to shots fired near 89th and mill around 3 this morning. witnesses told police the shooting came from a white suv. while officers were investigating, they saw a white suv speed off. police didn't chase after the car, but the driver lost control and crashed into a tree near 95-th and allyn around 3-30. the suspect is being treated for non-life threatening injuries and is in custody. investigators say the driver was a

we are learning more details about the suspects arrested in connection to the death of a 7-year-old in milwaukee. this isn't the first time one of them has been accused of child abuse that led to death. four people were arrested in connection to the boy's death - two men and two women. we are told the two women arrested met in prison... where one of them was locked up for her role in a 2003 child neglect case that resulted in death. according to that criminal complaint, 1-year-old bryan alston was found dead inside the suspect's home. now, thirteen years later... by what happened to the 7 year old child. 58:53 its just terrible. it really is. 58:36 this is all going on right underneath our nose and we dont even know it. a source tells fox6 the 7 year old who recently died... suffered from malnutrition and abuse.... and that there were other children in the home. a 9-year-old was also abused and is being treated at the hospital. we are told neither of the women accused are the mothers of the abused boys. still to come on wake up --- we check in with t-m-z for todays

is over after a police shot and killed a suspect... accused of gunning down a tacoma officer overnight. the officer was responding to a domestic violence call when he was shot multiple times. he died at the hospital. police had been in a standoff with the suspect for nearly 12 hours. two children were then rescued from the home unharmed. investigators say multiple weapons have been found inside the house. the officer who died was a 17-year veteran of the tacoma police force... his name has not yet in just a half an hour --- the first presidential election recount in 16 years will get underway here in wisconsin. county clerks... election officials and volunteers... have been getting ready for this moment all week. team coverage this morning. angelica duria's following the stein campaign's responding to a judge's decision. but first... let's start with deandra corinthios... live from the election commission warehouse where ballots will be recounted today. milwaukee county is preparing for a recount of more than 440

hand but will likely be done with the use of optical scanners ...which the clerk says will speed up the process... the recount results for the whole state will have to be certified and completed by december 12th. a judge denied former green party presidential candidate jill steins request to force a state hand recount earlier this week. 48 counties, however, will opt to process the recount by hand:... including ozaukee, jefferson and kenosha counties. 14 will use optical scanners... like milwaukee, waukesha and sheboygan. 10 will county. the ballots for milwaukee county were transported from the county courthouse yesterday...and were under lock and key overnight.. while the final decision will be made early this morning by the board of canvassers, the county election commission recommends the recount be done by

difficult and much more labor-intensive, much more time-consuming for us to do a hand count. in our area, costs for the recount range from 36-thousand in sheboygan county... to more than a half million in milwaukee county. the total...around 4 million for wisconsin will be paid for by stein's campaign coming up at six what role volunteers are playing in the election recount live in milwaukee dc fox6 news. the stein campaign will not be appealing the dane county judge's ruling allowing county clerks to use voting machines. but former green party presidential candidate jill stein is still urging clerks to do a hand count. angelica has more details in the newsroom. the wisconsin elections commission is reiterating... clerks should not feel pressure to count by hand. the lead elections administrator called it "good news" that stein had dropped her legal challenge because it will give clerks

clerks are miffed that the recount comes at the request of green party candidate jill stein, who got just one percent of the vote. one percent of the vote. the communication weve had from clerks has not been frantic or panicky, as i've said theres been some frustration over whether or not they feel that this is necessary while stein is dropping her legal challenge here... she has formally requested a full hand recount of michigan as well. as it stands, president-elect donald trump beat hillary clinton by a little less than 11-thousand votes in michigan. stein had to pay 973-thousand dollars in order to file for the recount... but taxpayers will pay for whatever that doesn't cover. that recount could start as early as friday-- though a challenge from the president-elect could delay it. as you can see... officials in madison and milwaukee had a lot

but that love of team ... is also creating opportunity ... for foul play ... by questionable businesses. i was impressed, i didn't see any red flags. it seemed like they were, they were legit. in september ...a facebook ad led steven jackson of west bend... to a website for fan authentics ... where he bought his wife a pair of packers leggings for 29.95. they were black leggings with green bay written down the side. the money was deducted from steven's account ... but weeks later ... the leggings hadn't arrived i called the nume and 'leave a message; and they'll 'contact you as soon as possible,' well, i tried once, twice, three, maybe four times and i never got an answer. no one answered when contact six called either. and no one responded to our email ... or message sent to the fan authentics' facebook page. that facebook page is filled with complaints. some call fan authentics ... a "scam." we wanted to see for

i think we're gonna buy some leggings. the website advertises expedited delivery within seven to ten days. go to secure check out now. i paid 34.95 ... then waited. the money was taken from my account. but more than a month later ... i'm still waiting. when i check the status of my order ... it says "unfulfilled." contact 6 has spoken with a half dozen disgruntled former customers ... including one woman ... who took this picture of her package ... when it arrived two months after she placed her order. the return address ... is michigan. we just want the money we dont even want the leggings anymore. despite exhaustive online searching ...the operator of fan authentics remains elusive. there's no address on the website ... and the address listed by the better business bureau ... is an apartment complex in michigan. the bbb of michigan has more than 100 complaints against fan authentics ... and can't seem to track down its operator either.
