people in custody in connection with his death. a source tells us, the young boy was hit with a closed fist and a shoe and was also malnourished. a 44 year old woman arrested in connection was sentenced for another child death back in 2003. winningham's brother is also hospitalized after allegedly being beaten. one of the men convicted in connection with the death of laylah petersen-- receiving a hefty sentence. carl barrett -- sentenced to a total in november 2014-- he and another man fired multiple shots into a house-- where one bullet struck and killed petersen. barrett given 65 years of initial confinement and 35 years of extended supervision. that means the 21-year-old likely won't be eligible for release until he's 86. weather mostly cloudy tonight with lows around freezing. sunshine breaks through tomorrow into saturday

hand- count the ballots -- while others will use voting machines or a combination of the two. green party presidential nominee jill stein leading the effort for the recount -- raising the money necessary to make it happen. the recount must be complete by december 12th. while the recount in michigan is on hold... after president-elect donald trump filed an objection to the green party's request fo already more than eight hours into the recount in wisconsin. but that doesn't mean republicans support the efforts here. fox6's madeline anderson is live outside of the milwaukee county recount location with more on what each side is saying. wisconsin republicans say the recount is a waste of time and resources... because there's no evidence the voting machines were tampered with... both members of the green party and democratic party say the goal is

was counted properly a billboard along i-94 at oklahoma ave... is the latest criticism directed toward the presidential recount. i think the recount is disgraceful. the message from the republican party of wisconsin reads... "don't let liberals steal the election"... and shows a picture of former democratic presidential candidate hillary clinton and former green party presidential candidate jill stein. congressman sean duffy... who was recently named a member president elect donald trump's white house transition team... says there's no evidence the election results were tampered with... calling the recount efforts a ploy by democrats to try to change the outcome of the votes to favor clinton. jill stein raised $3.5 million in total for her presidential campaign. and shes over $6 million now for the recount. the donors to her campaign are hillary clinton donors. wisconsin green party leader george martin says the money raised reflects the

oil prices are surgingu after opec's new deal to cut production. the oil conglomerate finalized an agreement to cut overall production by one-point-two million barrels a day. this comes after months of intense negotiations pitting saudi arabia against iran. this could be opec's last chance to control prices before donald trump takes office. the president-elect has promised a quote - "energy revolution" and that

he intends to open federal lands to onshore and offshore drilling. more than 1-point-3 million android phones are reportedly infected with malware -- most outside of the u-s. that's according the security firm "check point technologies." the malware -- called "googlian" -- is downloaded from non-approved, third-party app sites and not from google play. google says it has contacted affected users -- removed apps associated with the problem -- and added new protections. using social media to let students know they've been accepted... uw-green bay is using snapchat to inform applicants! students are still getting the traditional packets letting them know they've been accepted -- but the new method means they're finding out faster than ever. on building different kinds of houses...gingerbread houses. their second annual gingerbread event is happening right now. professional bakers, amateurs and students have come together to decorate gingerbread houses for donation for their favorite house. habitat for humanity says building gingerbread houses makes sense... s "well it is the holiday spirit,. you've heard of gingerbread houses related to the holidays and christmas and we just felt like it was such an natural way for habitat to kick off the holidays to build gingerbread houses because we build houses." select houses will be for sale throughout the week. the competition ends this saturday.
