continue to be rechecked. after a second day, very few changes have been detected across the state. in fact, after a second day of tabulating, fox 6 calculations show the lead is exactly the same for president elect donald trump as it was after election night. election officials are confident they'll be able to finish by the deadline. tuesday is when we'll find out if the recount in michigan is going to officially happen. michigan's attorney general filed yesterday to stop the recount requested by green party candidate jill stein. the a-g says stein is not entitled to a recount -- because she received just over one-percent of the vote in michigan. meanwhile -- in pennsylvania mister-trump's lead has now been cut from 71-thousand votes to 49- thousand... because provisional and absentee al counted and recorded. however, final counts are still outstanding in some places. the election recount must be complete in less than two weeks. see the politics section of fox6 now dot com or the fox6 news app -- for regular updates. we'll also have links to the daily vote totals. an audit has been ordered to look into the quality of medical care being given to inmates at the milwaukee county jail -- and the house of correction in franklin. as fox6's ashley sears found out -- it's

in just 6 months -three inmates and a stillborn baby...died inside the milwaukee county jail -- all under different circumstances - however one of them was ruled a homicide. this prompted milwaukee county supervisor supreme moore omokunde on thursday to call for sheriff david clarke's resignation... saying the sheriff "abdicated his responsibility to hold his in response -- the sheriff released a statement comparing the supervisor's name to a comic book character -- and saying the supervisor is upset that clarke helped donald trump get elected potus. investigators haven't said whether the actions or inaction of jail and medical staff contributed to any of the deaths. but an audit of armor medical services is underway to see if the contract requirements are

wakeup news. here's a look at ...! ad lib the menomonie police department is allowing citizens to pay their parking ticket fines by donating canned foods to local food banks. drivers with standard parking violations -- like an expired meter -- can item and get up-to two dollars off of their fine. they can also donate multiple items and pay off fines, no matter how old the ticket is. the "food for fines" program runs until december 30-th. the department has collected nearly two-hundred dollars worth of donations. all of the food will be sent to stepping stones -- a food pantry and shelter in menomonie.

morning's top stories. a vigil took place last night to remember the life of a woman who was hit by a car as she was walking to her car... the driver never stopped. she was struck by a vehicle at the crosswalk of beloit and mitchell in the village of west milwaukee. the search is still on to find the person responsible. a milwaukee woan fatal crash last month pleads not guilty. prosecutors say 18-year-old samira coleman-wilks was behind the wheel when she fled from a traffic stop. that vehicle crashed shortly after at 27th and capitol-- killing one of her passengers... and gravely injuring a second. officials say coleman-wilks was going more than 50 miles an hour over the speed limit at the time of the crash. a heated exchange in the hallway of the milwaukee county courthouse... after a teacher is sentenced for having sex with a then-16-year-old

ballot bickering continues in wisconsin's presidential recount. across the state, the constant flow of ballots are re-checked despite an effort to stop this process. julie collins joins us live with the details - julie? two super pacs filed paper work late thursday hoping a judge will put the breaks on the recount. friday afternoon a federal judge says he will hear the arg until next friday--- just days before the december 13th deadline. he's allowed the recounting to go on...for now... across the state numbers continue to pour in. a second county has finished the process. tiny iron county giving hillary clinton 11 more votes than donald trump on the second go around. from the numbers turned in so

more than 22-thousand votes. there has been no indication of any major shifts or problems. in waukesha county--- they have been tabulating until midnight. in milwaukee county, election officials say as expected--- things have picked up. "it was a bit of a learning curve yesterday, but i think we've got the kinks ironed out and things are running very very smoothly today." of the numbers in so far after two days of this recount--- donald trump holds the exact same lead he had on election night. there are still a lot of votes that need to be counted. election workers will be counting over the weekend, many adding a sunday shift to ensure the deadline is met. thanks julie! there's new developments surrounding the other two states involved in a recount. tuesday is when we'll find out
