investigating a double homicide police say the victims are a man and a woman. deandra corinthios is live near appleton and florist with the latest milwaukee police tell us this was a shooting. neighbors called them when they heart gunshots...and screaming. milwaukee police officers responded to a home at appleton and florist around 1:3 and a woman in bed, shot to death. police say the victims had been shot multiple times. police also found two kids in the room. a teenager...and an 11 year old were hiding in the bedroom. police tell us they were not harmed...and are not considered suspects. police also say this is not a murder suicide investigation. police tell us the victims were both in their 30s. they have not released their names.

and more breaking news this morning. a man in his sixties is dead after a shooting and crash. officials say the victim was inside a car that hit a couple of signs and power pole before rolling to a stop at a home near 36th and thurston. emergency crews attempted c-p-r but the man died. afterward they found a gunshot wound on his back. police say the man was from out of town. police continue to investigate. also new - police are searching armed robbery at the wing stop restaurant near 76th and good hope. it happened around 8:30 last night. police say the suspect is believed to be an african-american man... roughly 5-feet-3 inches tall. he was wearing a green vampire mask, grey sweatshirt, grey pants, and gloves. police say the suspect showed a gun during the robbery... and stole money from the restaurant safe. no one was injured. developing this morning - more than 400 missing ballots turn up seven days into the wisconsin recount. the greenfield city clerk... not willing to go into very many

what we know so far. this morning, the milwaukee county election commission will have to decide whether to accept the clerk's explanation. here's what happened. greenfields ballot totals weren't matching up with election night numbers. so the clerk called back to her office and told workers to look for misplaced ballots. they found 412 of them in the office. last night - they spent three hours trying to match the numbers. the head of the election commission wasnt happy, and wants the clerk to put a plan in place for the future. detailed plan, but a plan, because its vital that this never happens again whats the explanation for what happened tonight? ill just say, the board of canvass will rule tomorrow and id like it to be made public at that point. like i said, there were ballots that were counted but were just not bagged and brought here. and the numbers all matched for the most part :17 well know more once the board rules tomorrow :20 what do you think about what the chairwoman said... ger-gen goergen did not want to

got most of the ballots matched up. by the way - the recount in the city of milwaukee is over. in fact, at least 70 percent of the votes statewide have been recounted. president-elect trump still holds a 22-thousand vote lead. and in michigan-- a federal judge who ordered the state to begin its recount has effectively ended it. he tied his decision to an appeals court ruling. the ruling found that green party candidate jill stein request another look at ballots. the court said stein -- who finished fourth in michigan -- did not have a chance of winning even after a recount. stein is now appealing to the michigan supreme court. new this morning - two people on the run... after two attacks on police- including one deadly shooting. and to our south... chicago police on edge after multiple officers are shot at: "i've been an officer for 28 years and i've never seen the level of disrespect or lack of accountability." the number of ambush-style attacks on police... doubling

officials say a shoplifting suspect stabbed a female officer inside a walmart. police have posted this picture of the stabbing suspect - who is still on the run. the officer was taken to a hospital... and is in stable condition. columbia police are also looking for an escaped inmate. they say he could possibly be the suspect. michael williamson was serving a life sentence for armed robbery and assault and battery with intent to kill. meanwhile... in chicago... police say officers have been shot at five times... in the last ten days alone. various incidents... including one with a graze wound from a bullet. nationwide... 48 officers have been killed this year... compared to 41 last year... with at least 20 ambush-style attacks in 2016. as some departments in the nation talk about officers wearing helmets and body armor... experts warn militarizing departments too much could damage relationships with the community. a man known for his fight against the environmental protection agency... now tapped to lead it? plus - president-elect donald

restock the rock before the holidays. one of milwaukee's newest breweries is apologizing... after an offensive beer proposal wound up on its website. mobcraft beer in walker's point holds a monthly online competition allowing customers to submit ideas, with the winning idea getting brewed. but a submission for "date grape" - a pun off of "date rape" - made the brewery's says the process to select the top submissions is automated-- with no human intervention... but they've since changed how that process works... and deleted "date grape." id love to say im one embarrassed and two very sorry that any offesnsive beer names came up on our website. its an oversight on my part for not having a good process in place to make sure that doesnt

14-year- old darryl roeschen were talking on facebook. piechocki was naming people she wanted killed.her mother read the conversation and told school officials. the complaint states the students admitted to having the conversation, with piechocki saying she has a dark mind. roeschen told administrators he thought it was a joke and he never intended to kill anyone. school administrators found a pair of scissors in the boyfriends backpack on tuesday. the complaint says he admitted to stealing them from a teacher wit himself--but never did. despite being charged as adults-- both teenagers are being held in the racine juvenile detention facility. community members gather for a vigil... remembering 7-year-old trevion winningham. investigators say the boy was badly bruised and malnourished when he died at the hospital last week. etter hughes and mary martinez were watching the boy and his 9-year old brother... they now face child neglect charges. in 2003, hughes was convicted

months in prison after one year old bryan alston died in her care. that childs grandmother, april alston, says winningham's death could have been prevented... had hughes been behind bars longer. aa 'he was just thrown around like a beanbag.' aa 'our court system period is failing miserably across the board in my opinion.' hughes is due back in court next week. new details... as police search for a man accused of harassing year-old girl for sex. it happened while the girl was walking home in the city of cudahy on tuesday. the girl tells police she noticed a stranger driving past her. the same person drove past her a second time while she was walking near swift and holmes avenue. this time he stopped the car and made a sexual comment to her before driving away. the suspect drove past her for a third time. he pulled over on swift and edgerton-- and propositioned her for sex. police have yet to say what drove the suspect to leave. the suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s to

chest. he was also wearing a baseball hat. new this morning - fond du lac county officials file a temporary restraining order to stop the placement of a convicted sex offender... in eldorado. judge richard nuss signed the t-r-o yesterday afternoon against terry olson. olson was convicted in washington county - where judge andrew gonring chose not to hear the town of eldorado's t-r-o motion. today - judge gonring will hear a motion to reconsider his decision. is sentenced for having sex with a student. 29-year-old sara domres pleaded guilty to two felony counts of sexual assault of a student by school staff back in august. she will spend the next two years in prison -- and will be on probation once she is out. prosecutors say she sexually assaulted a 16-year-old student she had in her english class. hundreds of incriminating text messages were found on her phone. "what parents don't expect is that when they are sending their children to school, that

victimized." domres must register with the wisconsin sex offender registry and undergo sex offender treatment. she can no longer teach - and cannot have unsupervised contact with underage males. new berlin school officials fired domres after finishing their own investigation. wauwatosa police arrest a person for threatening the police department. but officers say it's just one of five threats of violenc made since monday. that's when it was announced that no charges will be filed against the officer who shot and killed jay anderson. wauwatosa police say they're keeping all their officers in the loop while the investigation continues. "we understand this is a dangerous profession, our officers remain vigilant when we're both on duty and off duty and we are keeping them apprised of the information we're receiving." the district attorney's office will review the threat arrest in the

does become law... the american civil liberties union says it will take the battle to court. two juveniles... now charged with arson... for the fatal tennessee wildfires that ripped through the gatlinburg area early last week. additional charges are being considered for the juveniles, including a transfer to adult court. fourteen people died -- and 134 more were injured as the fire spread. nearly 17-hundred buildings were destroyed. yesterday... residents were allowed to begin moving back into gatlinburg. a school bus crash in baltimore last month... that killed six people including the driver. the national transportation safety board says the driver... 67 year old glen chappell... was driving nearly twice the speed limit - going 57 miles per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone. the report also reveals that just a week before the crash... chappell experienced seizure-like symptoms. chappell did receive a valid medical certificate to continue driving after experiencing seizure symptoms... but he never filed

it illegal for him to drive. no children were on chappell's bus when it crashed into an m-t-a bus and another car... killing the m-t-a driver and four passengers on that bus. former u-s senator and astronaut john glenn has been hospitalized. the 95-year-old was admitted to the james cancer hospital in columbus, ohio last week. doctors... not commenting on his condition, illness or prognosis. glenn underwent heart valve repla ago. he became the first american to orbit the earth in 1962... and then the oldest person to ever travel in space... when he served as a crew member aboard the space shuttle discovery back in 1998... at the age of 77. glenn also served in the u-s senate for 25 years and ran for president in 1984. yesterday... americans marked 75 years since that day of infamy... when japan devastated the american naval fleet at pearl harbor in a surprise attack... killing more than 24-hundred

came out to our coats for kids collection. tom wachs spent last night at the steinhafels in waukesha. all of the coats will help milwaukee-area kids stay warm this winter. we all know by now that the injuries this season have hurt the packers at multiple positions. one, in particular, will see the effects sunday against the seahawks. tim van vooren with more on that from lambeau field. the cold weather didn't stop roughly 100 people from waiting outside the new chick-fil-a in west allis overnight. the first 100 in the door this morning received free chick-fil-a for a year. the new location... located on south 108th street off highway 100 and national... opened for business around 6 a-m. the west allis location is the last of four new chick-fil-as that opened in the milwaukee area this year. walmart stores in wisconsin will begin receiving new hatchimal shipments. hatchimals are one of the hottest toys of the holiday season...many stores across the country sold out. a few dozen "hatchimals," will be making their way into stores in greenfield....sheboygan...waukes ha...west bend..and germantown...among a few others in the area. each store will be periodically stocked with the popular toy through december 19th... but walmart suggests calling ahead of time for the toy. each hatchimal is selling for
